Any premium/high spin ball as soft off putter as e6?

I love how the e6 feels buttery soft off my putter but I need spin

Title says it all. Are there any premium balls or high spin balls that feel as buttery soft off of the putter as the Bridgestone e6? I'm not talking compression, I'm simply talking about softness off the putter, and please no suggestions for the e5 because it is much clickier.

I have some e7+ and I was putting them in the house to compaire them against the Z-Star, and the Z-Star is much softer.

Burner TP or if you have a Wal-Mart around you should be able to get the Precept U-Tri Tour for $23 per dozen. The U-Tri is a urethane cover 3 piece ball that is butter off the putter (and I use a non-insert stainless steel putter) and has lots of greenside spin.

lots of choices in that price category....if want to stay in mid range and not pay Tour ball prices

I hear about Zip, it's like a 48 compression ball. FWIW, the GD charts showed spin was very low on Zip compared to others.

They're all mid range balls, so buy sleeves and try'em all out.

That was my experience with the first version. I'm perplexed when people say the Zip has plenty of spin since they kept rolling off the back of the greens while most other softer balls were staying put. Different strokes . . . .

At least they're cheap enough that it's worth buying a sleeve and finding out for yourself.

Which GD test are you talking about? The 2008 chart shows the Zip to be in the "high spin ball" category (13k-10k) with ~10,500 rpms in their test.

I am hardly a skilled player and I can make them stop or spin back when i put the occasional good swing on them. :lol: You sure you aren't thinking of the 50/50 ball? The Zip is called Zip because the core has a zero compression, the 50/50 is ~50.

Its hard to offer a response because e6 is NOT a buttery soft ball to me. I should qualify that by adding my putter has an tour elastomer core insert that also has a thin firm outer surface infused with urethane that helps towards softening impact while provided touch and control. The ball I now enjoy playing off that face is Callaway ix; soft to the touch off my putter and all my clubs, yet dances around the green. Other balls I've enjoyed are TM Black and ProV1X.
