Fewest putts....I'll go with *sigh* just because I like the screen name.

 

There will have to be a category for "Does Matt hit a fairway?" :rolleyes: Although I have to stick up for the orange. I like the orange. Need to get one for myself, I don't think sand shows up as well when you're hitting out of zillions of bunkers every day....... :russian_roulette:

Pat you should be glad your not in this one, I would need to bring a beach towel, sun screen and maybe a lifegaurd for you since there is something like 7 acres of bunkers out there for you to play in all day.

 

I am sure I can hit at least 2 fairways tomorrow :cheesy: It just wont be the widest 2

If the wind is blowing as bad as it has been the last two days we are either going to see some impressive long drive numbers or some pretty meager ones.

Well, if I were playing in an event you organize, I would expect a 22 year old blonde lifeguard straight off the beach in California following me anyway....you don't expect me to get my hands all slimy putting on sunscreen, do you? That's what she would be for....and well, gotta make it worthwhile, you know? :rolleyes:

 

You guys have had crazy wind as well? We've had 40 mph most of the time here lately....nothing like hitting a 5 iron that starts to draw, and then changes direction completely and rolls off the green......into the bunker!!

Since we are just out for fun, I recommend everyone play the tee that is most enjoyable for them. That course is pretty tough, lots of bunkers and tall native grasses line the holes.

 

Perhaps for the closest to and long drive, we can designate a specific tee to use. Just an idea...

Southern Dunes has became my new favorite course in the valley, I'd be up to make the trip down again if anyone feel up for it as long as the price is acceptable.

Whenever you want to play, just shout. Its $49 in the early afternoon and $39 at 2pm or so. You can still get a round in easy!!

I would have gave ckguy a run for his money if the 2400 milligrams of motrin would have kicked in sooner... or maybe if I could putt. FIVE three wiggles !!! and 37 putts total. What a round. I'd consider the drive again, depending on when you went down. It really is a very beautiful course.

Thank you all for coming and enjoying the day with some fellow Golfwrx'ers. I had a blast well minus the mesquito bites and the marshalls riding us about a 4:06 pace.

 

Look for another event coming soon. I would like to wait until the rates drop and get us out at Troon grayhawk etc.

I doubt I'll be playing in any events for a few months, my radiator blew the hell up on the way home, setting me back $740 bucks in repairs. But other than that, the course was awesome, bummed about my solid double bogey triple bogey finish on the front nine, and losing the longest drive BY ONE YARD!!!!

 

BTW, I counted 28 mosquito bites on my arms and legs. Sweet.

Like I said, I hardly got any. Wasn't thinking about it the first few holes, and then we ran into the Marshall.

Marshall:"2 hours and 25 minutes is UNACCEPTABLE for the front nine. You guys have to pick up the pace!"

 

Two holes later, we are right up on the next group with no one in sight behind us.

 

Loved how the ball almost hit the ranger on the fly and yet he didnt bother to point out the ball in the tall grass nor help look for it to speed us up lol
