I think my favorite part of all these threads is the guys with random numbers like 177 or 163, etc. The only possible way you would know that those clubs carry exactly that far would be by using a range finder or getting on TrackMan and hitting 10 balls with every iron to figure out average carry. I also think a lot of people overestimate distance such as the 112 ss with 305 yards as the driver. No possible way to hit it 305 at 112 swing speed unless its wind or altitude aided. You cannot even crack 170 ball speed with perfect smash at that speed. I've fit and seen many fittings and I can count on my hand the number of guys that can fly it 300 yards. I mean today I had 197 yards to a back pin with a front trap sitting down in the rough, I hit 6 iron onto the back fringe probably flew 200 yards in the air but I thought it was a flier lie...doesn't mean I hit my 6 iron 200 yards.

Bingo

But couldnt the same be said about saying 170 or 150 yards? how do you know? The fact that I gave specific numbers means I actually took the time to figure out the specific numbers so that I know when the time arrives.

I value a smooth swing over my attempt at a powerful swing. Several clubs see extensive action on the course. A product of walking with 3W, 4i, 7i, 9i, PW & putter.

Driver - (erratic) 220-270

3W - (calming) 220-240

2i - (fall back teeing club on THOSE days) 210

3i - 200

4i - 150-200 (favorite club/many shots available)

5i - 170

6i - 160

7i - 150

8i - 140

9i - 110-140 (second favorite club/very versatile)

PW - 90-110 (another favorite)

52* - 80

56* - 60

I avoid the longer wedge shots like the plague.

good point yepyukon, the same could be said, but i think dizzub is referring to when ppl put for example 150, they mean about 150, not exactly but close enough to were its not a big difference. for those who put 153, they must hit it consistantly perfect to get that exact yardage, which is highly unlikey for many, except pros

2 factors nobody is mentioning:

Location - if your live where it's high or dry you likely get 10 more yards per club

Iron lofts - manufacturers are playing the loft game again, 46* PW for example (Ping and Callaway are notorious...)

Or where its humid. I loose a full club in the winter.

and some of these driver numbers seem like the had a 50 knot wind at their back lol

I know you are thinking that I am just bullsh!ting you(even though im not, I can post a video of my swing if that makes you happy). But I realy dont appreciate negitive coments like anthonykim3.

And we dont appreciate the immaturity; I know you just want recognition and your surprised you dont get it, but watch your mouth and respect your elders. The video prolly has no sound so you cant hear the wind roaring lmao. take it easy bro and remember "argueing online is like running in the special olympics; win or lose youre still a PingG10guy" :D

Hah, good saying.

Also i don't get why people get so worked up when people call Bs on their distances. Most likely the average 13 year old cant hit his driver 273, or know that it goes 273 for that matter. I think it's funny how you have an exact yardage with your driver. That's how we know you are bsing, Tiger does not know the exact yardage he hits his driver. Sorry, with driver it doesn't work like that.

Maybe you do though, in which case you'd be way above average which is cool, and if you are, you should know it, and not get worked up when someone calls you on it. 99.9 percent of kids your age and size can't hit it that far, so the general consensus will be BS when a 13 year old says he hits it 273, so don't get worked up, just say, "hey, well I guess I'm in that .1 percent."

No need to get worked up and honestly a video of your swing wouldn't show me crap. For all I know your getting your distances from denver colorado, which wouldn't mean much to me in Ohio.

Anyways 5 9 135 15 years old

Driver: 260

17 degree utility: 230-240

4 iron 200-210

5 iron 190

6 iron 180

7 iron 170

8 iron 160

9 iron 150

PW 135

52 120

56 105

60 90

Anyone is welcome to call bs, I really don't care, just trying to contribute to the discussion.hah just for kicks tho I think it would be a funny day to see a 13 year old hit a blade 2 iron. Maybe they hit it great, I just think it would awkward, it's like new and old.
