I'm on Grayhawk's email list and I thought I'd share this PRETTY GOOD deal.

Dirty Dozen Promotion:
- 12 rounds of golf
- 12 Callaway golf balls

Played the South course Saturday, a little bit wet but in superb condition.

I am also game for the next wrx tourney.... I will be out of town from July 23-28. Any day but those are good for me.

Ya that week of July doesn't work for me either. Sister gets married on the 25th and have things to do the week before to get ready for the wedding and the like.

Camelback Country Club is running a special for the summer -- $199 for 8 rounds of golf on the Padre course (the better of the two courses).

Got an email from the TPC Scottsdale. Stadium course is opening up August 1-9 with limited tee times for $50, sounds like a great deal to me.

Anyone played Troon, Grayhawk or We-ko-pa recently? I'm just curious as to the course conditions right now.

Played Troon a few weeks ago its in fantastic shape so was Wekopa but i think saugaro is still aerating but it was also in fantastic shape. Grayhawk I wont know till tomorrow. Troon would be the safe bet now. I love the pinnacle course

Played Grayhawk Raptor today. Raptor course is in good shape tee to green, but the greens are still recovering from the aerifying all the places do over the summer. They are bumpy for sure, but not so bad that ruins a lot of putts. Raptor greens were worked on a few weeks ago and Talon was just completed earlier this week, so when we booked the guy said we should go for the Raptor. Some of the other people working there that we spoke too after our round think the greens will be good to go in about two weeks or so.

Man I booked a tee time for talon tomorrow morning and the dude in the shop didnt tell me about the aeration. Man that pisses me off. What ever happened to service? I booked a slot at kierland about a month ago and they went out of their way to call me and explain the aeration and offer to book me at another troon course.

I played golf in AZ in the winter of 2002 (Troon N. Pinnacle, Kierland, Thunderbirds, Talking Stick). It was AWESOME.

I have a question for those of you who live in Arizona. Why is it so inexpensive to play in the summer? Is it because of the heat ?

Yep. It's going to be 112 tomorrow. It will be 105 by noon. There's just a lot less demand from people coming in out of state.

I think saugaro will be just fine by aug 7th. Well worth playing one of my top 3 out here. I got out of Grayhawk and on my way to vista verde i have heard good things and cant wait to play it. As far as summer golf goes its all about the temperature and only a select few of us idiots enjoy playing when its 110* out hahaha.
