Figured I'd actually take some decent pics

10.5º ADAMS Tour Issue Speedline Classic (Oban Revenge 65x)
Speedline holds current spot in my bag. Very similar results but I hit it about 5-10 yards longer than the 9015D and I think this shaft is a better fit for me.


14.5º ADAMS BTY Tour Prototype (Diamana Blueboard 83s tipped 1.25")
Still my favorite club in the bag. It simply does what I want it to and I love how small the head is. I hate the new big headed 3 woods.


20º ADAMS Tour Prototype PNT2 (Lime Green Ozik Altus X)
This thing absolutely does not want to go left. It is a perfect high flying laser that is way easier to hit than a 3 iron.



4-PW SCRATCH SB-1 Tour Department (Black Nickel KB Tours S hardstepped once)
Still love my irons after having them almost 3 years. They have been in and out of the bag but I always seem to come back to them. They simply give me the perfect ball flight and feel softer than anything I've tried.



T.P. Mills Tour Issue Fleetwood 33.5"
One of the MANY putters I own but this one has been making the most putts lately. David makes some beautiful putters.

Is that Adams 3 wood a current model available from an Adams "tour" shop (not familiar with Adams stuff)?

 

Also, what's your take on the KBS Tours versus X100s?

Higher launch but lower spin. I like a higher ball flight so it fits what I need. I can't say enough good things about the KB Tours. If you want a lower flight they won't fit though. The BTY can be found but getting harder and harder. The latest ones on the van have the paint break but don't say tour proto on them. I have backups because I love it so much. Some places still have the retail version.

Its more rounded than the 9015D with more bulge. Without looking at them side by side they look the same but side by side you can see the difference. There are pics of mine compared to the 9015D in another thread

Nice setup! I play in Central Kentucky and we have wind just about all the time so the KBS won't work for me but the looks are great. I'm curious about the Adams stuff and am going to try it out. Thanks for sharing!

Other than wedges Adams makes some of the best stuff you can buy and the stuff you can't buy is even nicer haha.

Haha 5 hour rounds leave plenty of downtime to goof off. I am done now and can say it will definitely be my driver. My miss is a push with it rather than the low draw with the 9015D. I REALLY like the shaft as well. Very stable and easy to control. I only missed a few fairways today.

Didn't score very well. I shot 76 with I think 36 putts. Was 2 under on my last 5 holes. My putter and shortgame is very weak right now. I'm driving the ball great and my irons are about normal which is the best part of my game. I think I hit around 13 greens today. I know I hit two par 5s in two and made par on both of them.

haha backhanded compliment? I could have some nice Adams blades if I wanted them. I believe you have mine haha. I can't say enough good things about this driver. Sounds completely different than the 9015D and any Adams driver I have hit. The scary thing is the face actually seems HOTTER than the 9015D.

Happy to say I will have a couple of Adams clubs in the bag shortly (3 wood and a hybrid), I just need to get them shafted up.

 

I currently play the Taylor R7 Limited driver, however the R7 is probably 20 yards shorter than my old 510 albeit more accurate.

 

Adams seems to be the driver of choice on the site.

 

With the Adams drivers you play, have they been hot melted??

 

In addition could you give some insight as to why the Adams drivers are longer than the other brands. I like the shape my R7, but the consideration to purchase an Adams driver has begun primarily to get back the extra distance I used to have.

 

Teach, you have a great bag, those Scratch irons must be really something to keep their place in the bag for 3 years.

The irons are great and couldn't ask for any more. My drivers aren't hot melted but picked to be 202 grams. I think the Adams driver are just really hot which is why the really high speed guys sometimes cave in the retail speedline. They seem to give really high ball speeds and have better cogs than most drivers. I wouldn't play anything else.

I decided to refinish my wedges. They were beat up and rusted and I was bored at work haha. Tough to capture the finish on a camera as everyone says. It's a lot of purple and a blue. This is what resulted:

Great setup - Curious on the Oban Revenge shaft. How do you find the launch and spin? I see you play the X flex. What is your swing speed?
