Nike Mojo

Am I missing something?

So I have been experimenting with several different value balls, and a few premiums. After everything I've hit, I just can't find anything I like better then then nike mojo. I know this is a cheap ball, and it isn't supposed to be incredibly spinny, but it just seems to work for. I have tired TM Burners, several top flights, Wilson 50's, ProV1x, Bridgestone E6,E7, Srixon AD333, Noodle+. I'm planning on going to the store later this week because I'm running low. Anything else I should try before I invest in another large bundle of Mojo's? Seeing as to how they come in boxes of 24, once I buy those, I wont use anything else for quite a while.

I just bought the two dozen sized box of these before our last golf event. They played well for me. I tended to drive them very straight.

I bought a sleeve and had a similar experience, I hit them straight and long. They did tend to roll out some on full shots. Not the end of the world just had to start playing them for that.

The ones I bought on ebay came in a Nike marked box, but did not have the swoosh mark on the balls. Is this normal?

Out of the ones you listed, I have tried the TM burners, Top Flite Gamers, 50's, and the Noodle +.

 

I actually liked all of these balls better than the Mojo. However, I don't have the fastest swing speed, and really like the soft feel of all the above-mentioned balls, even on mis-hits. The Mojo's just felt "dead" to me, in sort of a hard way. Really a "blah" ball overall.

 

Sorry, not the vote of confidence you were looking for. Possibly (if anyone around you has them), the old Maxfli Tour Fire balls are out there for very little $$$. If you like the Mojo, you may like these, plus get the benefit of a 3-piece ball. Might be worth a try.

The only markings mine have say MOJO in a 60s style font. No Nike or Swoosh on the ball.

the main problem with the mojo balls is what are you supposed to do with the one glittery ball that comes in each dozen?????

I'd gotten a glittery orange, and glittery purple ball in my past purchases, but decided that paying for 12 balls and only getting 11 usable (without being laughed off the course) wasn't a great deal

I don't know specifically what year that ball is, but there are many different iterations of the Mojo. And that is one of them

I don't like the MOJOs with the glitter around the swoosh, or the ugly sparkled colored balls.

Do the new ones still have the glitter ball? I'm only into my 2nd sleeve. All I know is that for $8 a dozen (my price I work in a golf shop) they are great. I bought a box awhile back as a "bad day on the course" ball. I have been playing The Srixon Z-Star and Nike Tour the rest of this year. What I have found is that if you are a high ball hitter (both wedges and irons) you will most likely like this ball as it has a rubbery cover and will hold greens.

I was having a bad day on the course a few weeks ago and grabbed one of these out of the bag to try. While my game started to get back to form and I continued to play it. I was amazed how well these balls would hold a green. For me (and I hit very high Irons) even my 6 iron shots the ball would be within a foot of the divot. They are very low spin off the driver being a two piece ball. But with the wedges in hand (which is why I normally play the high end stuff) I could get these to do what ever I wanted around the greens. Roll outs or hop and stops either way they just plain worked!

So then a week later I played another 18 with them and shot my round of the year, an 80. So now I have been playing the Mojo's for a few weeks and have a few dozen Nike Tours, Z-Stars and Pro-V's sitting on the basement shelf.....Strange.

See if you can find some precept u-tri balls. I bought some at wal-mart not long ago for somewhere around $10 per dozen. Not a bad ball for a cheap ball.

See, I love these balls.
I just don't think you can get something better for anywhere near the same $$$.
I get these at GG for $20 for 24 balls.
What ball at under a buck a piece can out perform them? If you know of one list it here and I will happily try it out.

Bringing this back up. I pulled a box of Mojos out of the closet a month ago and have been playing them ever since. They’ve been working better for me than anything else. The only problem is they aren’t sold anymore. Any thoughts on a good replacement?

I played them back when my best score was 120 and I didnt know much about golf. I'm assuming most 2-piece balls are similar. Were they surlyn?
