TT Tour Concept vs. Royal Precision Rifle Flighted

Which one would you choose between the tt tour concepts and the rifle flighted shafts?? I am going to have one of the two installed in my bridgestone combos and don't know which one to choose. I have played with the rifles and like them, but have been wondering about the tour concepts. Has anyone played both of them and which one did you like better?? Also I am a freak when it comes to set up and how is the finish on the concepts??? Is it annoying?? Can you really notice it?? If you had to choose between the two which one and why???? Let me know ho's I am in a dilema here!!!!!!!!!!!!!

<<<< Im a rifle guy. Specially LOVE the project X. Just make sure you play underflex with them. Project x play/feel stiffer than the TFR.

TFR= balloning for me... I dont care for them all that much... The TCI's give me the perfect ballflight. The finish is pretty cool actually, no glare whatsoever. Guess you know which way I would go or went :vava:

I agree that the TC's are great, but geez they're what 10x as much as TFR? (Mine were free...yippee!)

If $60 a stick is palatable, then they're definitely worth it. If that's a bit much, TFR can be dialed in to what ever you want them to do.

Tour Concepts are wonderful shafts!!

Excellent if you're looking for more spin, easier to hit long irons, or want more accuracy(maybe the best thing about these shafts is that they are unbelievably straight!!!)

The only characteristic that requires some getting used to is that when hitting into the wind, they tend to balloon a little. On the plus side, however, if you can hit low punched shots, TCs will make you a better player. Into the wind, just take 1 or 2 more clubs and hit an easy punch under the wind. By not forcing the shots into the wind, you'll hit it closer most of the time.

These shafts are very easy to hit punch shots with-very easy to get airborn.

By the way, with the wind, the extra spin stops the ball faster than other shafts.

In cross winds, they tend to hold their line very well.

Huge fan of the TFRs. They always worked great for me. Can't stand the finish on the TCs.

I had the RF and I liked them, no real complaints. But, I love the tour concepts. I also love the finish.

Sorry to get a little off line here, but have you thought about the new Rifle Project X2 (high launch) shafts?

IMHO, I have found them to be not too high of a launch, but a very consistent trajectory and a great solid feel. And I agree with golfcraze…I play with the 5.0 (R+) but my swing speed is in the 5.5 to 6.0 range. :tongue:
