Horrible..Horrible..Horrible

Hey Guys,

Use caution if you are ever ordering items from www.wolfcamera.com

I ordered a new charger for my Nikon DSLR from them. Ordered it on 12 September..

Got the e-mail confirming and was told that Item was in stock and would ship in 1-2 business days...Fast forward to the 20th and my Charger had not shipped yet. I call them and they tell me that even though the item was in stock when I ordered and the order says it was in stock and reserved, they sold it to someone else and did not know when they would have more in stock. I told them ok..just refund my money and i'll buy one from someone else.

Ends up..I had to get a supervisor on the line and he tells me that since the order is in the system, they can't do a refund unless a submit a order cancellation...He tells me that it will take around 10 business days. By now I am pissed.

Then...On Saturday, I get an e-mail saying my item has shipped. Not sure how as Friday night they said they were out.

Today..Package arrives, and I was like..hmm..this is light. Open the box and instead of the Battery Charger I ordered, they sent me 2 AA Batteries. I just got off the phone with customer service and they are saying that they shipped me the right item and not the wrong one.

It even shows on the packing slip that something else is suppossed to be in there.

Guess I just spent 25 dollars on 2 AA Batteried. I'm pissed.

I would highly recommend you take your business somewhere else

Yep. 2 Lithium. Guess I have that going for me. New batteries for my tv remote. LOL

While I have never had a problem with Ritz in the past (Ritz owns Wolf), I understand they are in a bit of a mess now. Filed for bankruptcy back in February... then the CEO wins the assets at auction 5 months and decides to keep running the stores/web site.

Wow... our bankruptcy laws need a little work if they can allow this.

That's kind of crazy. I can't believe they're telling you that two AA batteries = a battery charger. I never really understood why there was a wolf camera and a ritz camera considering they appear to be the same company.

I was beat to it... That's pretty strange that he just got a do-over in federal court.

The description does not say "battery charger", it says "battery".

The box weight is 1 lb. Does their website have the weight listed for the charger? If so, is it more than 1 lb.?

Do you have any order confirmation of what you ordered that says ...charger.

Its because the company wolf camera is located in oklahoma and everyone knows oklahoma sucks you should have known better.

If you look at the screen shot of the order receipt, it shows the Cta Mr-el9 mini battery charger was ordered

If you look at the packing slip, it shows the same Cra Mr-el9 was suppossed to be packed.

The battery for a Nikon D40 is CTA Db-enel9

The AA's they sent me are EP5493070

Dispute the charge on your CC or debit card with your bank. Call the 1-800 number on the back of the card and explain what happened.

Sounds like the person you talked to decided to "be funny". What jerks. I agree, go to your CC company.

Hopefully this pops up for anyone doing a Google search. Stuff like this will cost them more.

Maybe the shipper put your item in someone else's box, and theirs was put in yours...

As a former pro photographer, I won't deal with anyone other than B&H Photo (www.bhphotovideo.com) or Adorama (www.adorama.com). They both have the best prices and selection of any large camera dealers out there. B&H's customer service is slightly better than Adorama from my experience, so I go to them first.

And for comparison's sake, here is the reseller ratings page for my recommendation, B&H Photo. They are at 9.75/10 for the past six months and their lifetime rating is 9.55/10.
