MP 68- Black nickel

Who's seen them and where to get?

Absolutely in love with the MP68s and want to do a full custom build for this season. I'm intrigued by the black nickel finish but I understand that these could be euro only? Has any one seen these in person and can offer a review? I really like the white satin finish of my rac tp mbs rather than a higher polish chrome so was thinking black nickel could be sweet.. Any idea for sources for this finish?

Yep it's Euro only, sorry but I believe that you can custom order them from Japan. The reason they aren't offered by the USA is that Mizuno US didn't think that they would have much demand for them. A real 'What a stupid I am' moment.

I hit them and thought that they were practically identical feelwise although they are supposed to be slightly softer than the normal finish. They look gorgeous although like all dark irons the 3 iron looks even smaller and I saw no problems with durability.

If I needed a set of blades I'd buy Black-Ni 68's in a heartbeat.

You can always add a little personalised touch to them. ;)

I don't think it would be that hard to do. I think all you would have to do is find a reputable Mizuno dealer in UK and place the order and pay for the shipping to the US. The are tons of people on here from over there. Just start asking people who they find to be a good dealer to work w/.

I think you may be right. Its hard tell. I hhave been looking at pics of the US and Euro 62's but the lighting is weird in the US site. Its a black background w/ a little light on it so it kinda looks a little dark, kinda like the Euro one but maybe not.

Are all the 09/10 MP lines in black nickel?

EDIT: After looking at the looking at them again the the Euro site has an all white background and makes the hosel and reflective parts look like regular chrome.

Is golfstoreeurop.com Mizuno authorized?
I am looking for an authorized reseler. I see golfbuyonline is.
But when I switch to canadian funds the first site is a bit better.
I only want to purchase from an authorized site. And I want to order custom
specs. I like tourspec but they are on mizunos naughty list.
So has anyone ever ordered from either of the other
2 sites mentioned? Or know any others? The prices are actually a bit cheaper than ordering custom in Canada... I was surprised. Any help would be appreciated.

I have seen the Black Ni and I personally prefer the chrome but also would be happy to play the black ni. The black nickel finish is very similar looking to the MP R & T wedges in Black Ni but look a bit 'cleaner' as the dark logos are more subtle on the 68's.

guys McGuirks Golf in Ireland Will prob give you best price, they am pretty sure have the biggest Callaway & Titleist account in Europe and do lots of wholesaling Golf for other companys in europa. A Pal of mine is the General Manager there if there is bunch of guys buying in bulk you could get a really good deal (basically cost price i would imagine). They have a website but its not great as they want people to purchase in store rather than online

Supposedly they are softer but I've not seen any appreciable difference. Anyone else seen a difference?

Does anyone know if these can be ordered head only? Thinking about grabbing a set of the KBS Tour Black Nickels and putting them in to match the head.

I ordered a set out of the UK.
They had a boxing week sale on. Alot of the stores would not
ship out of Europe because of there contract.
Anyway ordered a set black nickel, kbs tours, upgraded grips.
With shipping they worked out cheaper than if I bought a Chrome set off the
shelf at the local golftown, or Nevada bobs!!
Pretty funny.

Oh and if I did the upgraded grips and shafts localy they would of been
approx 350 more than what I paid out of the uk.
Makes no sense!!!
