Bridgestone B330-s VS. Callaway Tour i(s)

Anyone try both?

Has anyone tried both of these? How do they compare? I'm especially interested in the comparison in spin. Thanks!

I haven't tried the B330S sense early last year, and I spent time with the Tour i(s) this past week.

Simply put, the i(s) has about as much short game spin as anything I have played. The amazing thing is that it is still very low spin off the driver and has a buttery soft feel. I played the Tour i for two years and the i(s) puts it to shame in every way.

So, in my humble opinion, the i(s) spins more off the scoring clubs than the B330S, but less off the driver.

Absolutely agree as far as spin goes, i(s) spins so much. I actually think that it spins to much. But, as you said, compared to Tour i, it has considerably less spin off the longer clubs. In fact, that was my knock against the Tour i, it spun too much, didn't go anywhere because of the spin and was awful in the wind. Callaway has fixed all of the problems that I had with the Tour i, but I still spin it too much. That is why I love the Tour ix, but that's another story.

As for the Bridgestone, it doesn't spin nearly as much as the i(s), but I think it's an easier to control spin. It's not a bad ball if you have the swing speed (not many people do).

nice little review G-bone. I always need less spin off my driver and I REALLY need spin around the greens. I was thinking of trying the tour Iz but I will have to try both after this.

Well after playing the B330-S for the last few years, I was given some Tour i (s) and was very impressed. The feel is very soft, it doesn't overtly spin, and when I hit a shot and look up, the ball is where I expect to see in regards to trajectory. I have used them for a few rounds this past week, and it was very windy the other day, but this ball really holds its line in the wind. If anybody is thinking about giving them a try, its worth it.

Used one(edit(B330s)edit) for 16 holes at Elks Run (Batavia, OH) and I'm just not sold on them. Love the Tour i(s) (when compared to the B330S). My ball of choice is still the Nike ONE Tour but the Callaway ball could be a tough decision. It is much softer than the B330S and has very predictable spin around the green. I hit multiple shots with the B330S that just didn't bite and other long irons that didn't hold the greens. I was very discouraged as I had played the course two days prior with the ONE Tour and did not have any issues. Gonna sell the B330's I have left to a friend and put it towards more Srixon ZStar Tour Yellows. So if you want my opinion I like the Tour i(s) [u]over the 330S[/u] because of feel, spin, touch basicaly everything I look for in a ball.
