Didn't get to see many players bags becuase I went on a Tuesday afternoon. Didn't see anything really out of the normal.

 

Todd Hamilton is playing the Nike blades, I guess he switched form the old Mizunos.

 

The only other cool thing I saw was Ben Crenshaw giving Justin Lenorad a putting lesson, then it ended up being a clinic for pga pros by Crenshaw.

 

Not the greatest, but better than nothing I guess. Wanted to get 1 of 2 in Texas.

Well done, I enjoyed the pictures and thank you. I thought it was interesting to see Charley Hoffman had the callaway 1 iron in his bag along with the two iron. When I saw him last year at the nationwide event he was using the 2. Not to many 1 irons out there anymore.

howard twitty and a PHD in medicine (first name lanny-can't remember last name) are collecting data using the putter fitting system (Science & Motion Golf) from Germany. very interesting study...had the opportunity to be analyzed at Phoenix this year....i believe they are going to use the data/info to start a high end putting school academy. Howard has a lot of friends out there, and the doc is very charasmatic and likeable as well. guys were lining up to "share their stroke" at phoenix...vijay, sluman, etc...with the info, they can see trends develop as to what good and bad putters do throught their stroke....all the info gathered is kept confidential...

I'm getting exciting about the release of the 906F ;). Seems like it's getting a lot of use outside of the Titleist Tour players. Looks like Shaun Micheel (Cleveland), Heath Slocum (Ping), and Brett Wetterick (Cleveland) are using it.

About 3/4ths down there's a cleveland bag pic with 588Ps. If you look closely it looks like they've taken the PW and actually ground down the "Tour Action" script in the cavity and put a CG and a Cleveland logo in the cavity. Gee Whiz. You can tell they're the tour/newer casting of the 588P since they don't have the model script on the top part of the blade and they don't have the old Mac style punch dots. If that was Jonathan Kaye's bag, those must be the old TA3 "prototype" iron he had in his bag before he did the Golf Digest WITB where he talked about just having recently upgraded. Maybe that's one of the most underrated old irons around. I can say for certain that if you could buy that newer version, I would.

 

One of the irons in the bag looks really bent down in loft, even for the 588P with its offset. I wonder if the updated version was designed with more modern lofts?
