I played Spyglass Hill today. The course was in great condition, but they did airify last week, so the greens were bumpy. Enjoy the pictures.

I live in the Bay Area and have yet to play Spyglass. What are the rates during the weekdays?

 

Lovely course, especially when you look at it on route the 17 mile drive.

Weekday and weekend rates are the same: $300.

 

I played in an NCGA tournament and played Poppy Hills and Spy for $110.

Beautiful course. When the AT & T is played there I enjoy watching on televsion because the course looks breathtaking. I think I would pay $300 to play there. Okay it is expensive but your only going to play there once and it is great to play these top class courses.

I play there a few times a year.... great course.. have yet to break 80 from the tips but I'm getting close. Last year I shot 3 83's there.... in much worse conditions then those pics...those pics look perfect.

Thanks for those great pics...My wife is a transplant from San Diego and we visit So Cal every summer and as we both love to play we have always talked about getting up your way. As for the price, just like Pebble and others elsewhere it's a one time thing and I agree it's worth it to notch some of these beautiful courses with such rich history. Thanks again.

I know it is an old thread, but Spyglass is a true gem and must play even at the $300 rate. I played in much worse conditions ie rain coming down sideways and It was still the best golf experience of my life and the happiest I have ever been to shot a 93 . Of all the courses I have played Spyglass is by far my favorite.

Wow...a bump of my old thread. I need to go to Spyglass! When they close Poppy Hills for reno vation, I may buy a Duke Card (www.pebblebeach.com/golf/del-monte-golf-course/membership) so I can play for $100 Twilight in the summer and get in 18.
