Miura CB 501

Has anyone hit the CB501s?

I was wondering if anyone has hit the CB 501s yet i have the cb 202s and the blades and was wondering if anyone has a opinion on them and how they compare in looks and feel/performance to the 202s and blades.

I have played CB202 for 3 years now and play to 5.8 index. Yesterday I ht the CB501 with KB tour S, my CB202 have Project X 5.5 in them so they hit a little lower. Other than the slight change in ball flight I could not really tell any difference. The soles are very similar and overall shape near identical except for the muscle bar. 501's have slightly more offset but barely noticeable.

Interestingly I also hit the LE small blades and loved the ball flight and control. I am very tempted to get the blades but the only thing stopping me was I know I was hitting well yesterday. I need to hit them a few more times to see how I do when I am slightly off. I have played other blades including the MP33, MP32 and various hogan blades but nothing compares to these small muiras for solid feel.

Hit my new 501's today. All I can say is wow. I have never played a set of Miuras before, but have played nearly every other manufacturer under the sun. These are so soft it's incredible. I am really impressed at how forgiving these are despite looking "blade-like" from the top line. I will do a full review later but am very impressed and pleased with my new set.

had a set made for me by joe kwok. best way to describe it is like butter. these are the best irons i have ever hit. first set made to my specifications. amazing ball flight and accuracy. i have fuji motore 60i shafts in them and love them. also play the miura k grind wedges with steel shafts also made by joe.

you havent lived until u make solid contact with a miura. looks like a blade plays like a cavity back. love them!!!

While the 202 are nice I've always preferred the tour small blades. Sweetest club I've played in 40 years. Long. consistent beautiful. I hit a 172 yd par 3 the other day with a 7 iron to 5 feet. Trajectory was to die for. I had my third back surgery last year. I added a cb501 3,4,5 iron to the bag thinking they would be easier to hit right now. They are butter. Perfect. Sweet. Help on all shots including dead center. Going to leave my mixed set together. Its one of a kind. The miura 501's are one of the finest irons ever built. Enjoy. Great choice. Scratch

I am currently playing cb-202's and LOVE them. They were made by Joe Kwok for me a couple years ago. I have hit the cb-501's also. They look very similar and by what I have seen they go a bit lower. They are also supposed to be a wee bit easier to hit which is very nice. If you get a set of 501's I don't think you will be disappointed.

I own a set of the baby blades and love them. I bought a set of the cb501's after my latest back surgery. They are wonderful, consistent, and beautiful. Easier to hit than blades. Same Miura feeling. I tried the tour versions of ap2, mizuno and ping. All nice. But when it comes to looks, no competition. when it comes to playability and quality control, even bigger no competition. They extra dollars they cost over other sets seems worth it. Hit it high. Hit it low. Hit fade. Hit draw. Hit a full shot 165 and it will repeat every single time. I don't understand all the magic that happens in the Miura lab but whatever they do it works. Club feels buttery, yet ball explodes on proper trajectory each and every time. so in my humble opinion,.not a pro or salesman, these are simply the best set of irons I've ever owned that offered just a wee bit of help along the way! In fact they mirror the awesome feeling of the baby 1957 blades! Get the total fitting session. Do it right. Make the investment and enjoy a set that'll be passed down the family tree line!!! Your Mileage may vary - heard that one before?

I am not a real high ball hitter. Driver SS 104. I have played both and the 202's seemed a little more forgiving to me. the 501 did seem lower flighted also. I prefer the no offset and it was noticeable with the difference to me.

Either way, you wont make a mistake getting either set.
