club sticking in new Callaway FT cart bag, WHY?!?

only one slot doing it, and doing it BAD.

I'll start off saying I love the bag. Looks great, not super heavy...

However, one of the 14 slots is sticking. I'm not talking about just, "man it's tough to get out!" I'm talking, "I can pick the loaded bag up off the ground by my 9 iron" stuck. I pulled the whole bag out of my golf cart yesterday by the 9 iron trying to get the club out. It's annoying as it is, it's !@#$@&% infuriating when you're on a 143 yard par 3 and YOU WANT YOUR MOTHER{:content:}amp;^$#! 9 IRON! Within 15 seconds half of the bag's contents were on the tee box, pulling clubs trying to see if they were binding. No club binding.

Has anyone ever experienced ANYTHING like this???

Wow. I haven't had any problems with clubs sticking or binding up in mine. I made sure with Callaway and some research they wouldn't cause I hate when they do. Is one of the sleeves catching the grip and turning inside out when you pull it up? I think I would call Callaway on that one. They would probably send you a new one.

I thought about that too... I've looked down the slot, and even ran a dowel rod down the slot with the club to see if I could push the liner down or create some space... there wasn't much space to create, I *think* the stitching in that slot was messed up and it's just barely big enough for the grip to pass, and binds on the way out. I just dropped Callaway Customer Service a line, I hope they get back with me pretty quick. I love Callaway's products, I've heard great things about their CS, it sucks that I have to use it.

Yeah they will take care of you. I called them last month about my Diablo 3 wood's crown paint slightly chipping near the face. I bought it exactly one year before. I was just trying to find out if it was normal or not(it wasn't all that bad). She asked for the serial number and my address. Then told me a new one was on it's way and to just pack up mine to ship it back. I was blown away! Really great service. Good luck!

I had the same problem with that bag. I had bought it (on the last day)when I was down at Myrtle Beach in Feb.
My clubs, in the back, were difficult to get in AND out. They seemed to get hung up on the material that divides the clubs. I would also feel them hit something hard (going in) but it was definately not hitting other clubs. There seems to be a small slot for the clubs to go back into. Sometimes, I would try and put the drived back in and it would only go half way, no matter how hard I tried.

It got so ridiculous that I spent $20 and shipped it back to the store and got a refund.

On a plus note from last night (this is no joke), I was able to get my 9 iron out of the bag wthout destroying the bag itself. It took a hair under 13 minutes. Ludicrous.

Sounds like you were in a good frame of mind approaching that 9 iron shot. I'm gonna guess you air-mailed the green by 20 yards.

You need one of those scopes my Proctologist uses. You would be able to find and clear the obstruction.

 

While your waiting for Callaway, could you insert one of those old time bag tubes in that slot? At least it might be more user friendly with a sleeve of some kind in there.

Did you send the bag back?
I'm considering getting this bag but am worried that the dividers will bind my grips or run into jamming issues.
