I like these bags - and I like the single strap. Dual systems I find to be a pain. I had one in the eighties and it appears that they are being remade and are due to hit stores early next year.

When your bag arrives, please share your thoughts on quality and workmanship.

I've owned several Jones golf bags...reliable and long-lasting. I still have a Jones Sports, 'Wolf'.

I seem to remember that McKennon Golf bought the rights to Jones Golf. I thought McKennon was going to bring the Jones back to life with McKennon touches added. I haven't seen any evidence that has happened yet.

Thanks to the link supplied by cmb71, I emailed Jones Sports about their plans for production and received this reply:

My dad, Dean Lemman, my brother, Tim and I recently purchased the rights to Jones from McKennon. We are very excited about it as well. We'll have an updated website in the near future. And we will also be at the PGA show in booth #1611.
Here's a sneak peak picture. My brother, Tim on the right, is holding the Jones Original. While I'm on the left standing next to our new Jones Players Series bag named, the Matt Black. Let me know if you have anymore questions Mike.

It has arrived safely at my uncle's place in Arizona. Which is great, except that I am in UK and won't be picking it up until I visit in (hopefully) March/April next year!
