Here is my Byron Putter.. he made it for me about 4 weeks ago.. after i put this in by bag i started putting real good..

Qualified for the California Amateur Championship with a 70, and was low man at my site
i shot 7 under with a DBeagle
had 21 putts in 18 holes

I am liking that hosel set up. Byron is wayyyyyy underrated as a putter craftsman. I have posted pics of some of my Byrons over the past few years. I would toss up a couple to go with Kyle's, but it isn't my post.

The only thing stopping me from getting one is as an Englishman I couldn't have the welsh flag on my head cover

Byron has different headcovers so don`t let that stop you! Kyle that putter is great.. I`m going to talk to Byron today and get him to make me a new handmade mallet.

He will make a head cover with out the weldh flag for you if you ask him...... he put the US flag and my name on mine

OKay, here ya go. This flatstick is something that a friend of mine milled a few years back. He worked at a shop with a few CNC Mills and his boss gave him full rein on making putters, anytime the machines were open. He was set to put a mill in his garage, hook up the 220 and we'd be putter makers. Not 5 days before he was to pick up his machine, his mother got divorced, suddenly and had to move in with him and his family. She brought enough boxes to fill what would have been his shop and the idea was squashed like a bug.

I did manage to get one of his putters, though. We didn't know how to get a hosel done, never got the time to fully investigate and get the program done. I used the putter for a few seasons then it went to the wall rack. I got the bug for a hosel and approached Byron about doing it. He was all for it and this is the before and after pics. I was blown away at his redesign. It looks and IS totally playable and solid like anything you can imagine. It is milled from 303 Stainless and has a headweight around 350 grams.

If you have something you want done to a putter, or are in the market for a new stick. Put Byron's name on the short list and you won't be sorry.

I also attached a pic of my Byron handmade #2 and a '98 Proto Copper DHII just to show more of what he has created.

I'm glad to see you online zman. I was chatting with pitbull808 about Byron's putters a while back and he mentioned that you were a member here. Shortly after seeing some of your ebay auctions I contacted Byron about my own custom putter--I can't wait until it's done! :hi:

 

Kyle, I really do like your custom putter. Very similar to what I'm hoping for, except with less goose and more sante-fe to the neck--maybe, we'll see. Byron was also extremely helpful in getting my daughter's first putter(s) (can't have too much of a good thing--that thread is here for anyone who's interested ;) ). I'm glad to see Mr. Morgan finally getting more recognition. I've been shouting his praises for years now--or at least the last couple months since LaMont piqued my interest. :D

 

Good luck with your putter in future outings, Kyle. I don't think I'll be posting many 21-putt rounds of my own . . . but it'll be good to know that the potential will be there.

Its the Byron Golf Design S-4 Welshman Made 400 gram carbon steel putter. This makes an awesome short putter. Outstanding feel with a very cool face milling.Byron made this for me in 3 x-black and a satin finish. Last week he sent 2 with an added Viber groove. I just put more Byron`s on Ebay along with the 2 handmades right here..

The viber groove is just another name for a sound slot.

Viber groove is the cut on the buttem of the putter like what ping did

it makes the putter feel softer
