Anyone played the new Maxfli HT Tour (4-piece construction)?
How does it compare to others balls?

I have this ball for two straight rounds and have shot 79 and 74 with it. It was long and straight off the tee. The ball has plenty of spin off the irons into the greens. It also has pretty good spin around the green. Not ProV1 greenside spin but more than the other mid-tier balls.

But, there is always a but, my spin-milled Vokeys chew up the soft ionomer blend cover. I mean just chew it right up. After 9 holes it looks like I hit a half dozen cart paths. However, I finished the round with it and it did not seem to effect it. It was more surface damage than anything but boy it looked like hell.

All that said, great ball for $20 a dozen. I bought 2 dozen for $45 with a $5 off coupon at Golf Galaxy. Excellent ball for $20. I'll play it until I run out.

WOW 20 a dozen i might try it, But i saw them for 40 a dozen at my local GG. Thats just too much to go experimenting with imo. Thanks for the thorough review! It will come in handy when they drop the price.

40 a dozen are for the Tour ball(urethane) not the HT tour (Ionomer Blend). They are different balls.

I have a bunch of last years model the VT4 and really enjoy them. You can still find some at some of the GG's.

ahh, the VT4 ! Another great Ball.
I too bought several dozen this winter while they were on closeout! And the VT3 ain't bad either.
