I need one of those beauties because keeping my grips and hands in strong contact has been a priority of mine dating back to 2002. I was playing a round with a new friend Ron and my old best friend Dave at The Rookery in Milton, DE. Dave was/is not much of a golfer, so he was using my fathers clubs while we were down in DE at Dewey Beach for the weekend.

The 15th is a 140 yard Par 3 that runs parallel to Route 1. Dave took out my father's 8 iron for his tee ball and proceeded to take a huge swipe at the ball, sending not only a good shot to a few yards from the green, but also the 8 iron over a fence and square onto Route 1 in the northbound lane. Dave said "No problem, I'll grab it." and ran off the tee box and was hopping the fence. Cue the biggest truck we'd ever seen barrel over the 8 iron snapping it in two and bouncing it many times off the undercarriage of the truck. Dave turned heel and hopped right back over the fence. The scene was too absurd not to keep us laughing through the last four holes and the rest of the drive home to CT.

Clean dry hands and clean dry grips are a HIGH priority to me. I don't want to be like Dave. (Thankfully my dad is more of a tennis player and had a good sense of humor about it.)
