has anyone come across a pro-v1 like this?

possible fake or tour issue

I found this ball in the lake at my course..pretty much everything about it looks different from the regular pro-v1 I play. I think it's fake because the line on the back doesn't match up with the seam. Anyone else come across a ball like this?

It's either a fake or a bad refinish/refurb. The "Titleist" script is a dead give a way.

Its a good fake, I've seen worse impressions though. Those I speak of now live very deep in the woods.

This is why I never buy refurbished golf balls. Way to easy for them to repaint a Top Flite!

i didnt even know there were TOUR ISSUED ProV1's until yesterday when i saw an ad for Tour Issued ProV1's with a little diamond on them on Ebay for $199. yikes!

The "ProV1" writing plus line should line up on the seam on the ball and as well have 1 little dot on either side.

Yes, I think you are right. Either way, the print has to be on the seam.

They dont make new tour only ProV's I've gotten a few golf balls overtime from some players and they look exactly the same as others!

They actually do make tour only ProV1's (ProV1+spin & ProV1x +trajectory).
