Vegas Golf...Dragon Ridge CC or SouthShore CC

Which to play?

Okay...need some help here. I'll be in Vegas in the coming month and have the opportunity to play Dragon Ridge CC and SouthShore CC. The only catch is I only have enough time to play 1 of them. So which do I play? I'm sure there are those out there who've played both...so come on...give me some feedback.

Go to SouthShore. I heard there's some weird thumbring-wearing guy in mandals that hangs out on the Dragon Ridge practice range telling people that if they aren't playing lime green, they are leaving yards on the table.

That's, of course, assuming he's still a member. Rumor is sombody's account was in arrears... :rolleyes:

Could care less about the other forum and who might be hanging out at the range...just looking for the best golf course and best experience. Have you played either of the courses?

I say you extend your stay and write reviews of both. I have read that DR is very very nice.

Played both several times. Dragonridge is nice. However, Southshore is a much better layout IMO. I don't think either get that much play. But, every time I played SS, we had the course pretty much to ourselves. A good layout and its always in good shape.

Thanks for the insight!! I actually set up the SouthShore round this morning and I'm glad to hear I picked the correct one of the 2.

A little late, but SS is the way to go. Great layout, although they've change their membership plans so it gets way more play now. It's not busy by any means, but you actually see other golfers occasionally now.
