Where are your fav. places to play and why?

hey guys!!!

just wondering what you guys thought of south florida courses, and which your would consider must plays!!!

im a pretty loyal golfer, which always bargain hunts, so i tend to stay close to miccosukee,one of miami's best courses at a reasonable price (u can pick u an online tee time for under 45)... crandon ark has a post 10am mon-thurs 35$ deak which is also a bargain for a great course...

other than those two i think the rest of miami's courses are highly overpriced and id they aren't they are in terrible shape (ala costa greens, calusa, killian, and sometimes palmetto...just to name a few...)

what other courses would you guys recommend ???


whenever i get a chance i try and venture a bit north and hit up heron bay, hillcrest, and emerald hills (which i believe to as good, if not better than doral's courses at 1/2 to 1/4 the $$$).. certainly a better selection of courses north of miami-dade county...

also would love to see if a league were to start up in the miami-dade area, haven't heard of any south of heron bay's sunday 9 nine hole, but thats too far of a hike to make it a weekly occurrence...hoping to bring something a bit further south....

surprised Jacaranda isn't on your list there... decent deals when available on golfnow and its definitely closer to Miami than Heron Bay

Reviving a bit of an old thread but for the most part twilight rates is the way to go. This time off the year playing in the mornings is silly expensive and crowded. Summer time just get a premier card and you are good to go, get to play all the nice PCM Golf managed courses for 20-25 a steal.

Well, I play the Biltmore often and its a really nice track. I dont think its worth the price tag as compared to crandon bay or the diplomat, but if you are a Coral Gables resident, its a hell of a deal. Also, Granada in coral gables is a challenging nine hole course. Its great because its pretty much a regulation 9 with decent green conditions for cheap and really really really ridiculous hot babes running/ jogging around the course. Its kinda depressing that Broward county has way more/ better courses up there than Miami-Dade

Crandon, Biltmore, Keys Gate, Granada...

Calusa is in better shape than it used to be. I also love playing 9 at Briar Bay. It's very short but the landscaping is great, it's always empty and it plays quickly. Nice place to get a quick fix.
