I was pulling for him big time... that's two years in a row he's missed it by one stroke. He's a hell of a player. I see him all the time and it sucks seeing that a person with that much talent has unfortunatly missed it by one the last two years. He's so good it makes me sick when I watch him practice. Haha

A friend of mine missed by 1 shot two years in a row. He finally got through last year and was in the top 25 on the Nationwide tour until the last 6 weeks or so. This year I had one friend miss and one friend get through 2nd stage.

I remember last year. Benoit finished early and was in qualifying position, but the scores were low and sure enough, just enough players passed him to change the qualifying number.

This has to be more brutal, needing merely to hang around par the final two days. But it might have been difficult conditions, based on all the high scores.

Yeah that's for sure... well I'm hoping next year will be successful. He's played well in the gateway tour last few years.

Elliot Gealy Shot 10 under and tied for 8th in Texas. Great guy and very talented. Was working at a golf academy here in florida and decided to give it a shot.

He was working for Mike Bender here in Orlando. Before that he was running Mike's academy in Korea. I am going to follow him at the final stage.

My pick Hurley -2 thru 4. This guy just doesn't make mistakes. He beat me a couple of times in the state am. Has the perfect game and attitude for Q-school.

Danny Lee +2 thru 2. Yikes.

Many foreign players are doing well. I checked a few minutes ago and saw three Koreans in qualifying position and one Japanese player. Still 3 rounds remaining.

Erik Compton was in decent shape heading into today, T40, but has fallen off, +4 for the round and still on the course.

I was just looking at some of the pre-qualifying events and some of the guys towards the bottom are shooting rounds in the high 80's and low 90's....I mean if they didn't want their $2500 I would've taken it. What's the point?

not one MET area guy was in there except Wagner and he's already got 15-20 events worth of status so it was a pretty poor year to cheer...i was going to for Tyron if anyone.

False. Turnesa, Herman, and Nallen were all in the finals. Turnesa has a medical exemption but was trying to improve his status. Herman made it through the Nationwide and was trying to improve his status. Nallen has full status on the Nationwide next year and was trying to improve his status.

That's unreal. Even if I shot par at my home course 10 straight rounds I'd probably take a step back and realize that I still probably didn't have a chance against these guys playing 6 rounds.

IMHO this has to be the most pressure filled tournament on the planet. So much is riding on it. It's also the most exciting an heartbreaking to watch.

There are quite a few golfers in this world who think because they're scratch or better at home, that it translates into scratch or better anywhere. Not the case, as many find out.

great golfers + handicaps

but when its time to pull it out in tournament they either blow up or play well

all mental cases
