hotel recommendation

Lucky enough to have a patron badge for Saturday and Sunday. Starting to look at lodging options. Prefer to be within a 1/2 hour drive and under $200.00 a night. Anybody have any recommendations?

Wow! Did some research, 2 beans a night is a pipe dream. Looking at the Jameson Inn in Waynesboro for $259.00 per. Anybody know anything about it?

To get anything decent at a decent price, you needed to book this past summer...before all the practice rd confirmations were sent out. The day those are in mailboxes pretty much every hotel in the area sells out.

I think you did good considering the tournament only being a couple months away.

I hear ya, just found out yesterday I have Wednesday and Thursday tickets. First time being at the Masters, let alone the Par 3 and opening round. Now I need to book flights and hotels and everything else on pretty short notice.

The folks at the Jameson Inn in Waynesboro tell me it's no more than a 30 minute drive up to Augusta. Place looks neat and clean online. $219.00 per night. I must have checked 30 hotels in and around Augusta, most started at $350.00 per and nothing under $300.00 per with lots over $400.00 per. Have a great time!

Congratulations on getting tix. I was lucky enough to go to The Masters two years ago for all four days.

I stayed in Aiken, SC at Rose Hill Estate. It is a very nice B & B, in a very good location, and probably about 30-45 minutes drive away. There is a radio channel that provides wall-to-wall, excellent traffic, parking, and routing suggestions and takes into effect any snags. Aiken is an upscale town with several excellent restaurants on the main street.

The price for Rose Hill Estate was not too bad. Check them out at www.rosehillestate.com.

I paid $220/night...at Days Inn...[b]in 1998[/b]...booked waaay in advance (but it was in Augusta). Probably $59/night before and after Masters Week.

Under $200 in 2011, booking in February...not likely.

I booked a room at the Doubletree right in Augusta...as of last week they still had rooms.
