Thank you Mr Mizuno !!!!!!!!

Well we heard John Daly had a new set of Taylor Made prototype heads in play. You can see them here because of another awesome member "Mr Mizuno". Thank you.

Okay, what it looks like to me is that Daly has taken one of his old sets of Dunlop custom blades, and the Taylor Made "T" logo has been stamped in the back of each one. They are about as "Taylor Made" as a set of Titleists. The one interesting club is the Pitching Wedge, which has a sole ground just like the rest of the set (a little relief line in the trailing edge) but it has the twin cavities milled in the back like RAC wedges.

So, I gather that Daly's current Taylor Made bag is about as much "Taylor Made" now as it was before he signed his big contract with TMaG; a loyal user of 500 Series Taylor Made drivers, but all the rest of the clubs are a variety of custom, hand-ground creations from Dunlop (irons) TMaG (pw?) and Cleveland (sw-lw).

Have I got this pretty much right?

They look like RAC MBs with tungsten in the milled out cavities ???

no, i think its a blade that had some small cavities milled out in the back to give a "rac-esque" look. these are not rac irons by any stretch of the imagination.

Did they actually mill anything? Or just etch the chrome plating in the 'shape' of RAC cutouts? When I look at those rings on the hosels, and the stamps used for the club numbers on the soles, it seems clear to me that those are just some old forged blanks that have been customized. They really aren't RACs at all...

The hosel knurling and numbers on the sole look like his dunlop blades, just a little fancy chrome work on the back to make them look like racs...

I've been within 2 feet of them. They're normal blades with the RAC "ports" painted in a different color. No ports at all. Daly plays steel shafts in his irons and what looks to be a REAX wedge shaft the way it is colored. Unique clubs to say the least.

Ports are painted a deifferent color. To look like TM. Whatever they are they look hard to hit.

His sandwedge looked lika a Rac TP, but i'm not sure. Also I think I saw that he played a Taylor Made 460 TP but again not sure.

He was playing a retail version of the 460. It was hot melted and bent so he won't hook it.
He played in front of me at the Verizon Heritage Pro-Am.

That 460 has a load of lead tape on the toe. At the Western he hit one about 360 yards and about 60 yards left of the green on #10. One easy sand wedge to three feet and a putt and he had an easy birdie.

Well my guess is they must be pretty heavy because if you have seen Daly's irons in the past, he usually packs about four strips of lead tape on each of his irons. In those pics I don't see any tape so I am guessing they weighed them down to his liking. I also thought someone said they were going to be Maxfli irons.. Why the T and not the Maxfli name??? I think they look pretty cool though!
