When do you start to worry?

I've bought a lot of stuff on ebay and have never had a problem receiving things quickly, until now. I bought a 905R in an auction that ended nine days ago and paid for the item immediately. I asked the seller (100% positive feedback, but a small transaction total) to ship quickly, and, by email, he said he would do so via Priority Mail. The club has not arrived (and no delivery attempt has been made). The seller has not responded to two subsequent emails I have sent him, which concerns me more than the nine elapsed days.

Should I put off my worrying for a few more days? What should I do if I continue to get no response and no club?

I start worrying the moment I click on the "pay" button in my PayPal account. :drinks:

 

Give him a couple of weeks, then file a dispute with Ebay (before 30 days). You can request his phone number through Ebay.

I think you can file a claim with Paypal after 10 days.. this will freeze the money in the sellers account (if it is there) till it is cleared up...this usually gets peoples attention and motivates them to get the deal completed. :drinks:

Here's what you need to do. On the ebay main screen on the top right click on the advanced search button. This will bring up a new page. Look on the left hand side under members and click find contact info. Enter his user ID and the auction number and they will e-mail you his address and phone number. I've had to use this a couple of times.

The seller's ebay name is tourshop1777, and I paid for the item on Friday, July 21.

 

I think I'll wait to see if the club comes today and then start the process of tracking the guy down if it doesn't.

I think you are paranoid for nothing. You paid for the item on the 28th. Its only the 2nd. That is only one business day between now and then.

 

28th Friday

29th Saturday

30th Sunday

31st Monday <- 1 business day

1st Tuesday (today)

 

He would have had to ship it on Friday as soon as he got payment for it to be there today. I doubt he did that. He probably shipped it yesterday.

If you paid for it on Friday, do you really expect to get it on Monday, unless you paid for overnite service?

Sorry...put the wrong date in then edited the post. I paid on July 21, not July 28. That's 11 days ago now.

Are you sure you have your dates right? The auction ended on the Sunday, the 23rd.

An update: I followed recommendations on this board and got the seller's contact info. The phone number provided was disconnected and the name on the account ("joe johnson") does not match the name on the seller's paypal account. After five attempts to contact the seller, I reported him/her to ebay and paypal, contacted my credit card company for fraud protection and reported negative feedback for the seller.

Stay clear of tourshop1777 on ebay. There are still active listings under that ID.

I don't think it's jumping the gun when the seller a) doesn't respond to any attempts to contact him; b) has a disconnected phone number on file with ebay; and c) doesn't ship the product until after he has been contacted by a credit card company in a fraud claim.

 

Somehow, I don't see that negative feedback affecting my life.
