WOW! seriously impressive. can you give a brief description on how you accomplished this Varsity or iTeach how you changed his action? DRAMATIC!
For me the feeling is that the club stays in front of my body and get's high, instead of sucking it in on the BS and low. Dan gave me a great visual of a wall running from the target through my ball and the club head stays on the wall going up and then back down. Of course that is not what happens, but it's a great image for me.

I also place my golf bag off my hip and extend my umbrella which you can see in the second pictures. This forces me to take the club out and away to clear my bag and then forces me to come over my right shoulder on the DS to miss the umbrella. Only took one time hitting my bag to scare the crap out of me.

Also I should add another feel for me is that I am coming over the top and trying to get my glove strap to point down at the ground.

Thanks for the compliment, but you should see the work he did with my buddy. In 30 minutes he had him change his entire swing for the better. We played a round after the lesson and Dan can attest that he drove a few balls over 300 yds and hit a 7 iron 200 yds. Towering high draws.

What did you feel you were doing wrong? What ball fight where you getting before and after? Awesome work! Thanks for sharing
My problems started when I tried the OPS method and got to flat going back with not enough shoulder tilt. Not dumping on the OPS at all but I had a very upright swing before that and then I would drop my hands and arms on the down swing. When I started to get to flat on my back swing I still dropped my hands and arms so now I was to flat and under plane so I had to shift my baseline out to the right and flip my hands to square the clubface resulting in a push draw to a push hook. My driver and woods were okay but my iron game suffered.

So Dan wants me to do the opposite, hands out front and higher and then feel like I am coming over they top shifting my baseline to the left and hitting pulls instead of pushes.

My ball flight now is a slight pull fade when done correctly and a pull hook when I don't. Pull hooks really hurt, but they motivate you quickly to improve.

LOL. Just looks similar to me. Not sure about your tempo when you had that swing, but he takes the back really far inside. This video shows what I was thinking:

Yes he does take the club in far on the BS, but what he does really well that I didn't is he rotates his arse off to left and gets the club back in front of him.

That's something I really struggle with myself. Mainly with the driver. Really the only club in the bag I can't hit consistent from round to round.

I really like where you're going with the new swing. Looks very similar to Foley-esque kind of swing, like Hunter Mahan who just so happens to be my favorite golfer and whos swing I think is just about perfect. I wish I could emulate his swing.

Do you have any drills you are currently working on to keep and engrain this new swing?

Thanks for the compliments I appreciate that. If you read a few posts up I talk about my feels and using my golf bag with my umbrella pulled up to force me into the correct positions. I find keeping the club in front of me takes care of my rotation issues because I don't feel stuck all I have to do is swing out and over and my body will work left hard.

Word of warning take it slow with the bag behind your right hip the first swing I almost killed my self and my club. If you practice with a friend you can have him stick a club behind you to accomplish the same thing.

I also recommend sending Dan a PM and send him a video to look at, he will get you on the right track. Good luck.

seriously, your action looks great. i really struggle with overswinging and some arm lifting. feel as if i have overcome the lifting, but the overswinging/bad pivot is killing me. your baseline change is crazy good.

i need some simplification and efficiency in my swing. seeing your path/baseline change in such a short time gives me hope that i can get back to scratch :)

I honestly believe you can make the changes with good information and clear goals. My problem was I knew what i was doing wrong but had no road map or clue on how to change it. Now that I know change is coming quickly. Still a long way to go but I'm on the right path. Good luck on your swing changes.

Great story.
Except some 11 year old has a nicer swing than I do.
Might be the pony tail.
I'm going to try it.

I should quit. When I first saw the pics by the OP, before reading the captions, I thought the left set was the correct way(inside, shallow path ala slicefixer), and that the right set of pics was the wrong way- too outside and over the top. I am so confused. I should take up skeet shooting. In theory, practicing aiming and shooting a gun should yield improvement. Not necessary to draw lines everywhere or sync up legs, arms, head, feet, shoulders, hips, and practically every other body part. Or perhaps darts.

Not confused at all.
Your educated eyes are bang on.
Not all people want a one plane swing (slicefixer).
Not everyone suits a one plane swing either.
