My experience with both special orders

I recently placed 2 seperate orders for Titleist clubs-

Club 1 ordered on 2/21 at Golf Galaxy - Titleist 910H Ahina X flex
Yet to be delivered
Club 2 ordered on 2/24 from Discount Dan's - Titleist 910F Ahina X flex
Delivered on 3/4

Here we are... 3/7 and I only have the 3 wood that I ordered 3 days later but was delivered so far 3 days sooner. Both clubs had to be special ordered from Titleist with the same shaft. I wonder why I still don't have my 910H.
Kudos to Discount Dans for a great transaction and a thumbs down to Golf Galaxy for not getting the club to me yet.

Sorry for the rant but sometimes we just have to do it to feel better :)

I'm still waiting for my 910H's with the Ahina X ordered from Golfsmith although I only ordered them on 2/28. It doesn't look like they've even shipped yet. Is there a backorder on the these things? I hate the lack of feedback from Golfsmith, their update simply says processing order and when you call they just repeat that phrase.

 

I've ordered from Discount Dan's and they are very fast. I only ordered from Golfsmith because I had trade-ins.

They are not the same shafts.

One is a hybrid shaft. Only it could be back ordered.

OR

They could be low on heads

OR

DD is merely better on special orders.

Always this time of the year, there are often back orders on "hot" selling items. Companies are conservative in their forecasting.
eg. R11 custom order TP shafts are back ordered 3 weeks.

Its great to see the smaller guys doing a better job....I run a "mom and pops" golf shop and we have alot of customers to come by or call to tell us how much better they enjoy coming in over the big box stores....We try to spend time with each customer and give them the best advice we can......We are currently working to get a website up and going....Thanks for supporting the smaller guys in the business....

The hybrids are on back order until the 24th of March, or so said our Titleist rep. Someone should have told you that when you ordered it.

Exactly my point... when I called GG yesterday I was simply told that it would take 2-3 weeks. There has been no mention of anything being back ordered.

I'm sorry for you guys that do not have a local shop to buy your gear from and have to resort to the big box stores. Hopefully you get your club within the time line that they described.

Discount dans does a great job, the order system at dicks aka golf galaxy is a mess

Great customer service and prices from DD, ordered a custom spec'd sc monterey on wednesday, received the next week tues if I remember correctly.

I'm a fan of DDs. Bought from them twice - no issues. Would definitely look to them again next time I need something major.

I have nothing but great things to say about DD's.I just got my Adams F11/3 wood today-They're great guys that work there.I can't say the same about GG.
