Mini Review of my 585s and 755s

Have had them for a week.
Have a buddy that always gets me stuff early so I have been able to play my 755s and 585s for about a week now.

Here are my initial thoughts:

755s

Well, in form of reference, I have played the following irons over last 3 years, 804s, 704s, 735s, and 695s.
Mostly settling on the 704s and my always trusting Cobra SS Forged.

I will say that of all the Titliest irons I have played the 755s are by far the SOFTest.

They feel really good. They look really good. The forgiveness is there, I think even more so than the 704s.

I actually hit them higher then all others except the 804s.

All the irons mentioned above including the 755s are played with Dynamic Gold R300 shafts.

As much as I wanted the Chrome/Black that I saw on this forum, I will say the red is not that bad.

I think after 2 rounds so far, I will really like the 755s.

585s (19 and 24)

Well, in form of reference, I have played the following hybrids over last 3 years, 503, FLI-HI, TM Rescue, TM Rescue TP, MD from Sonartec, and the Baffler Line.

Again, mostly settling on the trusty Cobras.

And again, All of them mentioned I used Dynamic Gold R300 shafts.

Well, while I absolutely LOVE the look of the 585s at address. THEY ARE BY FAR the best looking hybrid at address.

I have not been crazy about the performance. They seem a little Harsh at impact for me and I do not get the height I want from them, specifically the 19 degree.

Right now I am leaning towards them not being fit for my swingspeed.

I have much more success with the Bafflers, probably because of the offset, which again I think I might not be good enough to hit the 585s on a consistent basis.

I will give them another round or 2 and if no better results, offer them up to GOLFWRX members in lieu of EBAY so that our members can get these clubs before they ever hit retail.

Again, it is great looking, but I am tired of my 7 handicap not going down so consistency is my need.

I am very INTERESTED in the BAFFLER PROs that are coming along.

I will answer any questions and update how they both do and if they stay in my bag.

Thanks for the review. I'm thinking about the 585 also but like you I am a little worried that my swing isn't good enough for the club. I'm a 6 but play only once a week these days so I'm not as consistant as I used to be. I hit my Rescue well but do struggle with the hooks once in awhile because of the draw bias. I was thinking about buying now, maybe I should demo first (always a pain for a lefty). Could you compare the 585 to the TM Rescue Mide? Thanks.

Thanks for your thoughts on the 755s. How would you compare the looks of the 755s with the 704s? Also, you said you were hitting the 755s higher than any of your other irons, did you notice a loss of distance due to the higher ball flight? Thanks!

To answer a few questions:

- Love the look of the 755s over my 704s, did not think I would as the 704s are a very simple yet nice looking....but the 755s definitely have surprised me.

- At this point I do not think I am losing any distances that I can tell, I only have about 3 rounds with them. The ball flight just seems to be higher....I think because of the weight moved around to heel and toe.

- 585 compared to TM Rescue Mid, the TM is more forgiving and gets the ball higher.... I think the minimal offset on the 585s are the cause of this. I would also say the TM feels softer....BUT..you cannot deny that the 585 is AWESOME looking..
