MIddleGround persimmon heads. Age Hardened Beauties

I was given these heads by a friend who used to own a business making persimmon woods. He is the owner of a local shop that allows me to work on their machines, when they are available.

There are two drivers and two fairway woods in these pictures. Anyone think that they have the skills to turn these blanks into woods?

When this gentleman was building woods, these blanks would soak for 2 years in oil and it would penetrate all but a spot the size of a pea. These were made for tour players, such as Phil Mickelson, DLIII, Nick Faldo and I believe that Justin Leonard also had one in his rotation.

I will try to get some pictures of a few finished heads, if he has any laying around. I used to be able to see 5-10 in the used club bin in his shop, as metal woods were taking over and guys were selling their persimmons. In their day, one of the drivers sold for $300-400 and the fairways were not far behind.

Hi Lamont, I've seen the work you do on your putters (on Richie3Jack's forum) and they look great man!

These persimmon heads are really nice too. Are you still interested in selling them and if so, how much would you like to have for them.
Also, if you have any spare inserts lying around please let me know.

I could make a driver or fairway wood or both.. Ive got a wide assortment of fiber inserts too, so you can get White black white, brick red, black, red white red.. A nice Fiber slip in the sole would be pretty cool I think too!

Sorry for not getting back to this post, sooner.
These heads were just a sample of what I ran into at a shop that I do work out of, on Saturdays. I will find out more particulars and let you know.
