My Swing

I thought I'd post some updated swings, these are a little better from last year. I know that I still have a few swing flaws, so if anyone has some good advise that would help, I am listening....

Whats going on bud?

First off dont swing with socks on in the tee box haha. Also you are mega wristy on the back swing. Work on lag and tempo. When you bring the club back, bring it straight back and create your hinge about half way up. You are breaking your wrists and making a hinge as soon as the face leaves the ball.

I was also the same way as far as wrists go. Here is a video of my swing last October (This was a week after I first picked up a club haha). I am going to get some more video of my swing now probably tonight. My swing has gotten much better since then.

Thanks for the advise, I didn't realize that I was hinging the wrists so early in my swing. I am working on creating more lag, but it's tough, I feel the club slipping out of my hands when I try to create more. Is that a common issue for anyone else? I will keep practicing and hope for the best......

Maybe Monte will chime in, but lag is a result, not a goal. If you're not flipping it from the top, then you have all the lag your swing will produce.

I think he might mean, if your not breaking your wrists at the top on the down swing and keeping the hinge locked in place. I could be wrong but that what I have heard about "Flipping the wrists".

First things first, work on that balance. Trying maintaining your balance for 3 seconds after each shot. There are other things that you could work on but this is a simple tip that doesn't require the help of a pro.
