Divot to the left of the target?

Hi,

 

My divot is allway point to the left of the target.

How con I carrest the divot?' I do everything......like

do my swing more a round my body, etc. :cheesy:

What youre doing is swinging with an outside-in path. A common swing fault among amateurs. Can I make a guess and say you probably hit a fade and/or slice with an occasional dead pull? Look for "Pulling Drills" from the Golf Drill Guru. These drills will fix your over the top, outside-in swing path.

Due to your release motion and gear effect of the club during impact, It's normal as long as you are not to far of to the left.

I agree, it depends on how far left your divot is pointing. For a correctly struck shot, the divot should point slightly left as the natural arc of the golf swing brings the club back to the inside on the follow through. Unless you are starting the ball slightly to the right, like for a push-draw, the divot should never point directly at the target.

Thank guys for you recomendation.

But I dont hit a fade or slice. For lukly I hit very straight or with draw.

My only problem is tha the divot pinted always to the left of target (like 45º¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡).

if you're hitting it straight or draw, why fight it? Go with the flow. My divot points a little left and I usually hit a soft draw.

If the club is square to the arc, the club will trap the dirt & move to the left. A proper swing is inside to square to inside. If your diviots are at the pin , you are hitting a block or your ball position is too far back.
