Which is the absolute best golf bag travel case available?

My recommendation is to go with ClubGlove... I travel with my ClubGlove and Stiff Arm (at least 1-2 a month) and use TSA locks. Fits shoes, extra balls, and hat(s)... Although, I must say I get a TSA notice that they looked in the bag at least every other trip...
Do TSA locks come with the bag?

TSA locks do not come with the Club Glove. They are available everywhere for just a few bucks.

My Club Glove gets opened by the TSA EVERY TIME I fly. I have an entire deck of those TSA notices....

IIRC all golf bags get a visual inspection, x ray machine doesn't work on them. Putting locks on is an invitation to getting them cut off, sometimes violently.

edit: Did some looking around and CSN is a very legit enterprise. Too bad that they drop ship and the expected delivery date is 2 days after I leave for Canada.

Not sure I would go with the hardcase. As others mentioned, they are hard to travel with and very bulky to fit into a rental car.

Look on your local Craigslist if you want a hard case.

People use them once and then sell them when they discover what a pain they are to transport and store.

Excellent idea, found 3 SKB's all under $100. In the last several years I've only traveled with my clubs twice per year and have not needed to stuff them in a rental car. Perhaps long term the way to go would be the soft case, they look like they offer plenty of protection.

Club glove is a great bit of kit. I've worked in the airline business for 20 years and would not use anything else for my clubs. I actually have 2 last bags. The first one arrived in Orlando a few years ago looking like it had gone via a war zone and had a rip in it. I have no idea what British Airways/American Airlines had done to it. The important thing was all my clubs and other kit were perfect. The best bit was AA told me to take a hike but BA took pity on me and bought me a new one when I returned to the UK. I took the damaged one to a sail maker and had it fixed for £10 ($15). It looks a bit battle weary but is structurally perfect again. Between the two of them I can't see me having to buy another travel bag ever again.

That's a really cool story. I was a little hesitant in spending $300+ for the last bag and stiff arm. I'm so glad I did now reading all of these cool stories you guys have had with yours. I guess $300 to protect 2k with of clubs is a smart move.
