Anybody else having issues with Golflogix?

I've had it for about 6 months with no issues, downlaoded the new version (whenever that was, a few weeks ago I'm guessing), and ever since then I have to toggle back and forth (previous to next hole) several times to get the true yardage, never had to do this before, always came up fast and accurate, one of my playing partners has it to and has been experiencing the same issue as well that started a few weeks back just like mine did.

I'm in Houston and have a BB Bold 9700, I don't use the scoring statistics ect., just the yardages.

On a good note with GL, I havn't exerpienced any of the battery loss others are, my over a year old BB still has atleast a 1/2 battery left after playing 36.

Never mind, its an issue they were having with Blackberry's, if it is happening with yours, you need to unistall Golflogix and reinstall to fix.

haven't had that issue, but I continuously have the issue on my iPhone 4 that it gets stuck acquiring the satellites. I'll let it is there and go for 20 mins and still trying to get them. If I exit the app I get caught in a loop asking me to continuing or new round. This goes on till I delete the app and reload it. And then I get to start all over again with waiting for the Satilites.

Never had this problem before, it just started a few months ago, so I really don't use the app anymore.

I realize this thread is over a month old, but I'm still having problems with my BB and golflogix, havn't been able to use it for a full round since the last thread, mid-July, talked to golflogix today and they said they are having some issues with BB's still, some are resolved, some are not and apparantly mine are not, it freezes up after 1 hole of using, said there's nothing really I can do but wait to see if they get the issue worked out, probably go to N-range.

The issue I have is they have a $20.00 a year charge, not a one time purchase fee. If I was convinced it would give me that much more, I might consider it, but so far, I have not been convinced. Please do post your experiences for us. I trialed the free Android app, but doubt I will buy.

I've been using the GolfLogix app for iPhone for the last few months. I have not experienced any of the "bugs" or issues that others have reported.

I have not upgraded to the 19.99 Champion Level membership as the free Club Level version seems to be working very well. Gives accurate yardages to the center of the green, no bugs, and the battery consumption is minimal.

Maybe later I'll consider upgrading and using some of the advanced features but for now the freebie is working fine.

To the OP, I hope your bugs get worked out. If not, you may want to consider another app from a different company. The last time I checked, there were several to choose from, for the iPhone platform any way.

I'm having issues with mine also, after updating the golflogix software. I'm using the BlackBerry Bold also.
I didn't have any issues, before I updated the software.

I use the golflogix app for my android phone and I have had no problems withit. With one exception, it drains the battery very fast. I am having a hard time getting 18 holes oon a full charge.

Hmmm...that's a little excessive IMO.

What kind of condition is your battery in? How old is it and what are your charging habits like? I'm a firm believer in avoiding as many short cycle, partial charges as possible.

Can you turn off any functions or background app to try to conserve battery?

The last 2 times ive tried using this app it would keep "searching for satellites" ... after 5 minutes it would say "no satellites found" ... I tried it over and over again with no luck ... has any1 else run into this problem?

Very annoying and I was playing 2 courses Ive never played before and it could have really helped.

Should I just uninstall it then reinstall it?

Other than this problem I think its a great free app ... does everything I need it to and is relatively accurate. As long as you keep locking your phone between holes there shouldnt be a battery issue ... atleast there isnt with my droid

I know this post is kinda outdated, I'm on here this morning looking for another app to use to use besides Golflogix or Nrange, and figured I'd update my post.

After going a couple of months without being able to use my Golflogix with my Bold (they kept telling me they had some of the issues fixed, but still wasn't working with some of the Bolds, which included mine, kept freezing up, when it did work, it wasn't accurate, you had to scroll back n forth between holes, then it would freeze), I got a new phone, the BB Torch, called them a couple of weeks ago thinking maybe they could get it to work now, no luck, they do not have the software yet for the Torch (9810 and up, they do for the 9800), I only got to use their service for a month or so, I told them to cancel it, they are sending my $16 back (prorated what I used).

I thought I'd use Nrange, first problem is about a year ago I tried them (the free service) at a course that had 3 nines, and named each one of them different, so Nrange counts them as the 3 courses I get free,when I signed up again, the same 3 nines are programed in, I don't play that course much but went back to it so I can see how Nrange worked and it didn't, 2cd problem is when I did use them, the yardages said like 19,000 + yards to the holes, can't find a phone # for Nrange and have emailed them twice, and sent 2 messages from the website with no reply.

So I'm looking for a new service, if I remember correctly, most of the other ones work with the Iphone only, not the BB, any suugestions?

A search here got me the info for 3 apps to try, mscorecard, BBGPS, and swing by swing, going to research and find out which will work best, I know I'm looking for yardage only, do not mess with the scoring stats, ect., like to have the yardage to the green, and also the yardage to water, sandtraps, ect. was very helpful with the golflogix, I do not really use the overhead view of the hole either.
