Gday, i'm over in Australia. I get my balls from a 2nd hand place and he has had c's for awhile. Where would these balls come from?

They play really well. With a notable difference between them and the s's.

Srixon make good balls for a really good price.

... how are they different than the 's' version? ... please describe.

I have never heard of the "C"....any info would be appreciated. I play the ProV1X now and the only comparable ball I have found was the Z-UR....tried the "S" and did not care for it as much. Where does the "C" fit in the mix. Good to know they are coming out with another ball....where does everyone hear this stuff from....news to me.

Sorry, can't give you technical information. Feel softer off the club, and stop very quickly. Basicaly for me, feel wise it closes the gap (slightly) between srixon and titleist

didnt realise that my clubfitter had them already. i prefer the zur to the zurs.

ZURCs LOng of the tee

stops very quickly...used it for 2 rounds(not the same ball)

1st round spin mills 56/14 bent to 53/11 and Japanese component 58* not sure abt the bounce...cut the ball ver badly

2nd round ping Eye2(square grooves) 56 bent to 53 and copper 57.5* stops very quickly and it didnt cut the ball

these are the good points

bad points

short of the short irons and a wee bit shorter of longer irons

feels better than the zurs but i still prefer zur

ball of choice

B330 S and U Tri tours

They are currently available in Japan, that is probably where they came from.

Played this ball over the last 6 holes of my round yesterday. I played the ZUR all through out the round before that. I had only 1 sleeve of the ZURC so I was waiting to see if I was hitting the ball well enough to make a good critique. I drove a green on the 12th hole (280/290 narrow par 4, I'm not a bighitter). It was time to bring out the ZURC.

Conditions were slightly damp. Wind wasn't really an issue.

This ball is obviously longer than the ZUR. Solid on solid maybe 15 yards more of carry and roll combined (couldn't tell actual roll because of damp conditions). The closest distancewise among the the premium balls that I hit this far is the HX.Tour. The problem with the HX.Tour is that sometimes it has the "flyer form the middle of the fairway" shot that carries the green, very similar to the original ProV. The spin is very much like the ZUR which is a good thing (better than the ProV X for the Titleist players).

Looks like I am now leaving my beloved X01 series balls behind. The new '06 X01 series didn't have that much improvement over the previous models.

Based on the ball test I posted a few weeks back, I was hoping I would like the Miz T301 more. Overall I like the ZURC more.... so far. If the spin doesn't work out the ZUR is still my option over the Miz. There is something about the Miz cover that dosen't look right to me. It is like there is a coating on it that makes it look cheap. The "Tour samples" of the T301 that I originally received didn't have this coating. I guess the retails have them just like the original C301, D301 balls.

Dan,

Having played the UR a bit and playing the UR-s as my main ball for awhile ... I would say that the UR is a very hard ball and that the UR-s is a moderately soft ball (not quite as soft as some others). Both balls are somewhat lacking in greenside spin properties vis-a-vis a V1 or HX-56. Some of these posts have me confused ... is the UR-c going to be a harder ball or softer ball and will its spin properties compare to the other two?

The Z-URC is softer then the Z-UR but still harder then the Z-URS. It has a new cover so it spins alot more then the Z-UR and Z-URS which have the same cover and therefore the same amount of spin.

I'm taking the hardness to mean that one needs more SS to compress the Z-URC and that it is a ball for 105+ swingspeeds? So that high speed guys can receive distance and spin?

If so, darn. I'm only a 100-102 guy.

And is Srixon coming out with an additional premium ball for normal people :) and not those whose knuckles scrape the ground??

The Z-URC is Srixon answer to a ball that spins more.

Personally, last weekend I played with a couple guys at work. I was given a sleeve of ProV1x's so I decided to play with them to keep my ball apart from the rest of the foursome. I was ten yards shorter off the tee then my buddy who I am always right with who was playing the Z-URC.

As far as spin, The Z-URC def has more spin on the greens then the Z-UR and Z-URC, it stops alot easier. As for spin off the driver it says it should have more, I didnt notice anything really different.

I def recomend trying the ProV1 right next to a Z-URC, i honestly didnt think there was going to be as big a difference as there was.

i played with the zurc and the prov1 yesterday. I only hit the zurc around the greens and a few times w/the driver and wedges, but it is definately just as soft or softer around the greens compared to the prov1. I didnt get a great hit on the driver, but it felt good and seemed to go a good distance. This is a ball that can definately compete with the prov1.

Tks. Been trying to get scoop and you're the only one in the know. On the driver spin issue again, at least accroding to testing approx. how much more in rpms does the c spin vs. the ur and the s?

Tks again

Hope this helps, this is the best i can find at the moment....

Driver at Swing Speed of 50 m/s (or 111.846 MPH)

Driver Distance:

Z-URC 275 yards

ProV1x 273 yards

ProVi 269 yards

HX Tour 268 yards

Sand Wedge Spin:

Z-URC 6650 RPM

ProV1X 6615 RPM

ProV1 6580 RPM

HX Tour 36450 RPM

If you PM me you email address I can send anyone who wants it a 7 page PDF on the Z-URC.

Dan, do you have any data comparing the driver distance and sand wedge spin of the B-330S, Z-URS and Z-URC balls ?
