Nashville Trip

My buddies and I are thinking of flying into Nashville from Toronto this October for three or four days of golf. Want to know where to play and where not to play, never been so any input appreciated. Also toying with the idea of Raleigh or even Atlanta but the boys also want a little nightlife so Nashville seems like a good option. Let me know pros and cons

Yes, good nightlife in Nashville. Plenty to see, hear, and drink on Broadway right in the heart of downtown Nashville. Try a steak at Demo's on Commerce Street. Quality food and very reasonable prices.

Must try Jacks BBQ in downtown next to the arena. If you are staying near downtown, your best option would be Hermitage GC(2 18 hole courses)but play the Presidents Reserve side. Its nicer. Also, Greystone out towards Dickson is a great track. If you want some value with quality golf, head 30 minutes south to Murfreesboro and try Old Fort GC and Indian Hills GC. If you want a true golf vacation, check out Fairfield Glade in Crossville,TN. They have some great courses and good lodging/golf deals. Crossville is about 1 hour and 1/2 from Nashville,TN. Also, if you try Golfnow.com, you can get some reduced rates. Crossville,TN labels themselves as the Golf Capitol of TN.

Also, forgot to mention a new website. [url="http://www.boxgroove.com"]www.boxgroove.com[/url]. I understand they can book you tee times at private courses. If that is the case, then try Nashville Golf and Athletic Club located in Brentwood,TN(about 15 miles south of downtown). Its expensive(about $80.00) but its close and the greens roll nice.

In Nashville, you have 4 public access tracks that are nice, the 2 at Hermitage, Greystone in Dickson, and the Opryland course. Knoxville, IMHO, has better courses a lower prices, but the nightlife/music scene is not anywhere close to Nashville.
