Played the Fort today and very pleased with condition. First of all, only in Indiana can you go from 100 degrees on Saturday to high 60s on Monday. The Fort is in excellent condition. Of all courses that I have played in Indiana this year, only Kampen at Purdue and Trophy Club in Lebanon are in better condition. You can easily play the ball down at the Fort, there are some rough spots in the fairways, and 1 or 2 small spots, 1 on #5 green, and the other on #12 green which are iffy. There are some good deals on golfnow for the Fort, easily worth the $55 that we paid to play on Labor day. Highly recommended.

Great to hear. I am playing for the first time on the 17th. I am driving up from Cincinnati for a small outing. Looks great from the web site photos and has a good reputation.

Good to hear. Play it about every year, but haven't made it there this year. Plan on playing it when the leaves start turning, should look great. Thanks

Agree with this post. I played the Trophy Club on Monday, and with the winds up, it was a true test. However, the conditions were fantastic. I can also confirm that the Kampen course is in AMAZING shape right now. I was up there Thursday of last week, and not only do they have very very few bare spots in the rough or around greens, but they have most of them marked as ground under repair. Now that is impressive.

Fort layout is definitely one of the best in the state. Greens can get pretty beat up by later in year but nothing to terrible, one of my favorites.

Played the fort for the first time on Saturday. Caught a perfect day with mid 70s and sunny. The course is challenging but fair. The fairways are mowed tight but were in great shape. The greens were on the fast side and true. A few greens had a lot of ball marks from players not fixing them but nothing bad. The layout is very nice with a lot of fairway bunkers and undulation. There is also plenty of variation from hole to hole to keep it very interesting. Some very nicely shaped holes. The practice facilities were also very nice. Overall, I really liked the course and will play again if I get the chance (I live 2 hours away in Cincinnati).

I play the fort quite a bit. It gets a lot of play...so the downside is a fair amount of ball marks. Played brickyard a couple Weeks ago. It was flawless. Playing prairie view next week.

The fort layout is very good. Nothing overtly dramatic, but just solid, pretty holes all around.

The layout is exceptional. The condition is always at least "nice". The challenge is nearly relentless.
