Putter Lounge experience?

Does anyone have any experience with the putter lounge? I really like some of the finishes and designs. All feedback appreciated.

I had them do a putter for me this spring. Overall I'm very happy with the turn out of the putter, craftmanship was top notch.

The only negative aspect (and for some it might not be an issue) with putterlounge is the lack of communication. Basically you pick out all your options when you place the order. Then send in your putter and you won't hear a word from them until you get a notification that the job is complete and it's being shipped back.

In their defense it clearly states this non-communication policy on their website, but it would be nice to get an update from time to time or some pictures of the progress.

ive used 3 refinishing companies and i would rank them in terms of quality, craftsmanship and communication as follows

1- slighter golf

3. BOS

slighter golf is vastly superior to the putter lounge and BOS. the putter lounge incorrectly stamped my cameron and left a discoloartion on the candy white finish. BOS left a dent in the face of my other cameron (not a huge dent but noticeable).
i ended up getting a refund from the putter lounge but nothing from BOS.

slighter golf was 100% perfect if every facet.

ive tried to use Lamont in AZ but he got so busy that he didnt have time to complete my putter and thus referred me to tom slighter.

i got my putter done about 3 months ago, here is my experience:


- poor workmanship
- poor communication
- well overpriced
- took way longer than they said it would
- and when i asked where my putter was after 11 weeks, they sent me and e-mail the next day saying that it was finished.

I have only had one putter refinished in my life and it was from putter lounge (full disclosure...I am sending a putter to Colbert Putter Plating next week). My Putter Lounge expereince was nice. I got my putte back in 6 weeks. I love what they did for me. I had my putter finished in Element 29 with a satin finish, red & white paintfill and some face stamping. I am trying Colbert in an effort to have something to compare Putter Lounge to. Also, I plan on sending one to Slighter golf a little later.

Give Putter Lounge a try.

Putter Lounge is overpriced IMO. Lamont and BOS are both better options. PLs white finish is too shiny and one they sent to me had a dripping run on the face.

I recently sent them my SC SS Kombi Mid and had them apply the Tuxedo finish and got it back in exactly one month. Great job and thanks for a very easy experience.

I've never sent one to them, but in my research they are quite a bit more expensive than the other choices...

You will be glad you did I am certain. Kevin has done a few putters for me and I recommend him openly for many reasons. First of all, very affordable, yet does extremely high quality work. He is finishing up a SC tei3 for me now in "northern lights". I am sending him a Betti BB11 in coming weeks. Just a great guy to deal with all around. Kevin and Lamont (mannkrafted.com) get all my business.

I had a good experience with putter lounge. I also live about 10-15 minutes from their place. I was able to drop it off and then pick it up. I did pay 85 total for it. I got the white coating with the face not done.( I liked the look) plus orange and green paint fill with CANES stamped on the inside part of the neck. (pictures in my what's in the bag link in my signature). I personally do not play it but my father in law games it all the time and is rough on it. Says he would replace if it was damaged. But it's been through some hell and it's still holding up really well.

i was under the impression that, at least for some of their finishes, they were basically a middle-man for BOS. i've sent stuff to BOS and it turned out great for me, although they cost a lot and it's basically a "my way or the highway" situation. BOS screwed up an aquamarine finish on my TeI3, but they redid it free of charge. lamont is the best at basically every mod in this business--but, as others have commented, he's too busy to take on new work right now. slighter is great. i almost had him do some work for me on a byron putter i had, but i ended up sending it to byron instead. tom was a really great guy to speak with and was very much willing to work with me to make my business. plus, he's the first guy that lamont refers out to, and that makes me feel better about it--if he's got lamont's stamp of approval, he's great. don't know about colbert but i've heard good things. all of those are options that would work for you before sending to PL. JMO, though.

got my putter back from PL and immediately noticed a chip in the candy white. I emailed them, wrote on their FB page and still have yet to hear back.......it's been weeks. At least the chip was on the heel of the club, as I now care less about the issue. Would I use them again? Probably not. I'd try someone else next time just to see if I can get a better deal and better service.

I had a great experience with them and everything was timely and quality was great. My putter I got on ebay was truly dinged up and they restored it perfect. I'm very happy with the service and quality.
