Port Charlotte for 4 days

Hi Guys,

 

Im going to be in the Port Charlotte area for 4 days beginning this Saturday. I would like a course on the cheaper side to play say less than $40 (walking or riding). I would not mind another player if anyone would like to join up. Im a fast player, currently playing to a 12 or so.

I did a 36 hole day with some friends at Kingsway Country Club (not its not private, apparently it used to be, though) last March and we had a ball. I don't think i'd call this a destination type course, but the price was right the conditions were good and we had fun.

they had a deal that included lunch and the replay was about $20 or so, so we got 36 holes and lunch for pretty good price. i was told to avoid 'Deep Creek' like th plague by other posters on here, but I have no personal experience with it.

I agree with OK Golf. Play Kingsway Country Club [url="http://www.kingswaycountryclub.com/index.html"]http://www.kingswayc....com/index.html[/url] $37 in the morning. $29 in the afternoon. This is a steal. Clearly the best club in the Port Charlotte Area. I played it for years with my Dad in his Invitational.

Right off I-75 and Kings Highway. If you don't mind driving 45-50 minutes, I highly recommend (near Ft. Myers Airport): Miromar Lakes, Plantation, or Palmira. All 3 are gorgeous tracks. Just played them last month with a big group of guys from Michigan. This is the time of the year for the deals. Enjoy!!!
