"ORIGINAL" Ping Putters

Seems as the heads are seperate and they are built with the shaft, grip ect. after the order for the putter is made, hence the new shaft tags and grip.

Nice pick-up and thanks for posting what you uncovered for all of us vintage Ping fans. Those BeCu Pings were hard to beat, had an Anser 2 that was a favorite of mine for a long time.

So you're saying that it would have been easier to just spend $175 calling Arizona and ordering a new one .... great scott why didn't I think the obvious was soo improbable!! This thread could have saved me a lot of trouble 3 months ago trying to reinvent the wheel.

12 lb billet of Beryllium Copper I had blocked out to create a few personal creations when I wake up with the magic idea. Should create 3 weld necks in the future.

Through my local Club Pro ( authorized dealer ) the price with tax was an even $170 dollars.

He actually confirmed what I heard from my other guy at PING a few years ago (look at me all connected and whatnot ). I usually don't just make stuff up on the fly. Usually.

Oh dear.

It's not often Beruo gets caught out on Ping information but it looks as though "his guys" on the inside have given him incorrect information.

Hi I mailed PING to find out what BECU "old stock" putter heads they had in stock so that I could tell my retailer which one to order and they mailed me back that it would be "too intensive" to list what they have . So that was not very helpful , does anybody know what BECU and BENI heads are still available for order ??

I just want to know before I contact my retailer.

You will have to pick out what model you want, call Ping and ask if that model is available.

Pal-2
Pal-4
Pal-6
Cushin
J-Blade

There are more and can't locate my list / there are no Anser's at all in BeCu but available in Mag-Bronze

Call the 800 number ask for customer service ( they are super nice and helpfull and will assist you in every way) ask what models are showing of the original line of putters from 20+ years ago and they will be more than happy to give you this information.

They still have most all putter heads you can think of in either Stainless or Mag Bronze. Just ask and they will tell ya the skinny on them.

Ping stopped producing the BeCu putter heads about 14 years ago. At that time I had a friend who owned a golf store, and I had him order me one of every single putter which Ping made in BeCu. I recall it was about 26 putter models total which I received. There were a few very strange looking head designs. So, I had this complete collection of BeCu putters and I stored the whole deal in a closet for about six years. My thought at the time was that it would be cool to have every model and that maybe BeCu putters would increase in value. But, high prices for golf stuff is mostly about what Tour pros are playing. Since pros started playing Cameron and many other newer technology putters, there was not much ebay price strength for older Ping stuff. Eventually I sold off the entire collection for about what I paid for it.
