I just checked all the cameras. It's 9:06 AM there, and there's no one on the putting green, the first tee or the rest of the course. Heartbreaking! (If it wasn't for a few grounds crew carts and waves moving, it might as well be still pictures!)

Perhaps the course is closed in anticipation of the tournament the week after next. But given what I see, it's my plan to fly out there, go for a walk along the beach with my clubs, climb up the cliff to the right of the ninth green and then sneak on for a quick back nine. Anybody want to come with?

I walked around the course at sunset a few weeks ago as I was playing a different 17 mile drive course the next morning. The first thing I saw was a foursome of the worst swings in the world hitting the ball about 20 yards each on 17. Made me really sad that someone paid a ton each for their rounds and playing there is almost just a dream for me.

This guy hit a wonderful 50 yard drive to get to this position. It was hilarious. He felt the pressure of playing at Pebble. I'd do the same thing
