I live in Colerain. Yesterday I played at Circling Hills, which is in remarkable condition for winter. I've also played Indian Ridge lately.

I am a little surprised your two courses are open. I thought they shut down for the winter. I work at Oxford Country Club, and they shut down hard every November until April 1st.

yeah my friend is the member at Camargo (I wish i was...its amazing.) Apparently they never shut down, they keep it open all Winter. And Heritage was a huge surprise because they also dont open till Spring time. I really like Indian ridge. Isnt that the place where their club house burned down??

I assumed you were the member at Camargo. I was already planning my strategy for getting invited. Indian Ridge is indeed where the clubhouse burned. It was arson, and they know who did it, but can't prove it. They won't talk about the details, but my guess is it has something to do with them winning the local vote to allow Sunday alcohol sales. There was a vocal minority opposition, and the fire was shortly after the election. I have tentatively been offered a job there this season. It depends on whether all of last year's guys return, which he doesn't expect. Otherwise, I'm retired with a part-time brewery job (Rivertown).

The weather has been incredible in the NorthEast this winter! The last two years have been pretty rough, so I'm making up for it this year. I've played at least 20 rounds since December.

I just made it 12 straight months in Wisconsin by playing 18 holes Sunday. Not too many courses were open, but 12 straight is incredible here.

This might be the best winter ever!!

Sounds like a good idea. But one requirement: You have to live in the Snow Belt. Those guys down south can play year round anyways.

We moved back to the Nebraska panhandle from Phoenix (I know, I should have my head examined, been trying to figure out a way to go back every since) in April of 1992, It snowed that October and we didn't get out again until the next April. From that point on, April of 93, we played every month until November of 2009. We missed a couple months in 09 and 10, but like everybody else, we've gotten every month this year.

tfish, whats the course selection like in Greely? My daughter started school there this year and we'll be there quite a bit and figured I might as well play while the girls shop.

I'm on a streak of 48 months playing golf in WI. Sometimes it's brutal but this year has been great.
