12 Straight !!

Well I got in a round of 9 today and that completes my atttempt of playing at least one round each month for a year. I know this probably doesn't really sound like such a big deal to most. But here in North West Indiana it's not so easy. This was my first attempt at trying to do so. I have managed to get out and play 9 holes four times in January! Not bad IMO. Ahh...Living the good life :)

here in colorado i've been hitting balls on the range almost everyday this month (all the courses are open, but i'd rather work on my swing)

and the few days i haven't gone have been more about other stuff taking priority or my mind/body needing a day off.

pretty nice....at least until we get huge water shortages this summer.

The weather has definitely been quite mild here in Indy. I went to the range on Tuesday and practiced a little. I'm hoping to play either today or tomorrow. You can't beat sunny and low 50's for February.

I'm in Cincinnati. I don't remember ever playing in January before, yet this year I got in four full rounds. I'm playing today, so that covers February. Your idea of 12 Straight sounds like an idea I'm going to borrow. Thanks!

I'll bet the soles of your clubs have a nice green plastic buildup by now.

It has indeed been good golf weather so far this winter.

Last year, started playing in early March. Played through November locally. Played a couple rounds Dec, and also played 2 rounds in Jan. This month is looking good too. And this is RI/New England we're talking about!

Checked February off my list yesterday, and hopefully tomorrow. As I said in another post I think it has been at least 4 years since I have been able to golf all months of the year with no snow to be seen. Rare for Central Ohio.

there's two old codgers 40 mins East of Toronto that have pulled this off 10 yrs running. A course call Carlisle plows the fairways so they are able to cover off Dec, Jan, Feb

Realistically our season is late April to mid November


Although this winter we've had virtually no snow so it would of been an easy one to do

I am on my way to play a round today as well that will give me 12 straight months golfed. I am in Southeast South Dakota, so this is also quite an accomplishment for me as well.

 

I had previously only golfed 9/12 months here; December, January and February have never allowed me to get a round in. We've had a very unseasonably warm winter and I after today will have gotten a round in in all 3 of those months!

hitting off dead grass up in greeley, if its been cold the grounds frozen 1/2" down or so but in the past week it hasn't even been hard at all. way better than mats, my wrists/elbows can't take hitting a bucket off them.

We had a warm Saturday in early January after a couple weeks of cold weather so I had to go out and play 18.

The 4th hole, which is a par 5, has water protecting the front of the green (for most mortals, you have to lay-up). I played my 2 hybrid as my 2nd shot, with it landing in front of the water, bouncing onto the ice from the hard ground, all the way across it (about 50 feet), and onto the green. Longest 2 hybrid shot I've ever had! Oh, and on in 2!!!

You are lucky. Courses in the Springs/Pueblo area are on mats.

Central Indiana has been great as well. I hit my 12 month streak in January, but that included a trip to Florida last February. Hopefully February will be as good as January so I can make it 12 straight in Indiana.

Where in Cincy are you playing? I am also in Cincinnati. I played 2 days ago at Camargo Country Club, and yesterday and today i played at Heritage Club. Interesting seeing fellow Cincinnatians on here! whodey.

I played 21 holes yesterday in North Dakota! So far this year I made it out in January and now February, so I'm well on my way to 12 straight as well. Next Nov and Dec worry me a bit though, I feel like mother nature might get even!

I live in Colerain. Yesterday I played at Circling Hills, which is in remarkable condition for winter. I've also played Indian Ridge lately.

I am a little surprised your two courses are open. I thought they shut down for the winter. I work at Oxford Country Club, and they shut down hard every November until April 1st.
