I played there a couple of times last year. It is an amazing course. It can get pretty soggy in the winter, but it is amazing in the summer. I would definitely stop there to play. It is in my top 10 as far as courses played.

I played it 2 weeks ago and it was still pretty soggy; it should be much better now. It was a very nice course.

I know several people who played in the Pro AM last week and it wasn't good then either.

But then again, you couldn't pay me to play there until July. Well... maybe if you lured me in with a burger from Helvetia Tavern

Yeah Pumpkin is sooo soggy on either course when it is wet. There is a reason their rates get cut in half during the winter. I do love the layout on both courses.

mmmmm Helvetia Tavern burger... :man_in_love:

Both courses are definitely wet, but not unplayable....you're just not going to get any roll. On Ghost, the worst holes are #s 4 and 6. The rough is playing especially tough right now throughout the course, but don't go right on #4. They can't get a mower on it and if you hit a drive there, it's probably going to plug and even if you do find it, you're going to wish you hadn't. The fairway is fine though. The fairway on #6, is soggy, however. You can hit the fairway anywhere and if you're looking for casual water relief, you may be heading back to the tee to find it. The left side of the fairway is dryer than the right side with that hole, pin placement still dictates where to hit the tee shot.

There are definitely other areas that are very wet, but generally, they're not areas you should be. Instead, they are areas you just have to walk through to get to your shots. A wet walk but the fairways were in pretty good shape yesterday.

Today's rain had water standing on the fairways and greens at Witch. I was off the course by noon and it hasn't let up a bit. I'm sure Ghost was worse. Hopefully tomorrow will be dry....some wind would help as well.

It could be a long day of lost balls for the field if balls are plugging and the rough is up. It's not like we'll have marshals spotting drives for us.

Yesterday, I played Witch. It was fantastic as always. For whatever reason, #18 ALWAYS gets me; I have yet to birdie that hole and very rarely escape with a par. Today, I played Ghost. It's such a joy to be the only set of golf buddies on the course for a round. The deer appear throughout the course and the rain kissed turf glistens when the sun peaks down. Pumpkin Ridge is a remarkable Golf Club through and through.
