IE 7 vs Firefox 2.0

IE 7 is a big improvement but, I don't see as many features as FF. Could use either one without much trouble though...

I went to Firefox last year (because of this site) and I'm never going back. I have IE7 at work and it drives me nuts.

I haven't tried out Internet Explorer 7 due to the large quantity of websites that do not display/function correctly within it. I switched over to Mozilla Firefox from Internet Explorer 6 quite some time ago mainly due to the enhanced security and the better support for web standards (which is handy for website design).

 

At the end of the day, I still have to use both. Some websites do not work correctly in Mozilla Firefox, and vice versa. I imagine it is going to be the same scenario with Internet Explorer 7 and Mozilla Firefox 2, unless Microsoft really makes an effort to enforce (and support) the web standards set by organisations such as W3C.

I just upgraded to IE7 yesterday. Taking me awhile to get used to where all the new buttons are. LOL Think I might switch back to Forefozx though

With IE Tab and PlainOldFavorites (add-ons for FF), there is no reason to start IE ever again :)

I tried Firefox 2.0 but it didn't work with some of the tab extensions I run, so I dropped back down to 1.5. I'll wait another week or two and then try 2.0 again.

Go to Tools --> Options

 

Click on Advanced

Even better thing about Firefox, I installed it the day after it was released, and not as single crash yet, even with embedded foreign applications like WM player, and quicktime (which always crashed with IE). ;)

This IE 7 is God Awful. It's crashing every time I have more than 5 tabs open. MS just stinks. It's the US Automaker of software. They just don't 'get it'. :stop:

 

I'm also getting errors every time I try to insert a smiley in my posts here. ;)

hey guys i recently upgraded to firefox 2.0 and i was wondering if anyone is having trouble loading pages? for the most part i dont have any issues cause im usually on here or email but my gf always has trouble loading her myspace and some of her other sites. they will either take forever to load or the images will all be broken or an error page will occur. is there anything to fix this?
