Let's face it....you get what ya pay for. You want that characteristics of a premium ball without paying the price for it. Even though we all wish we could find such a ball, it isn't gonna happen. Setting a price point of $25 is tough to meet for any decent ball. Good luck in your quest!

Maybe try and find some srixon trispeeds on clearance. I think they are on sale for 2 for 35 at most golf shops. I picked up some for $20 a dozen

I read somewhere that top flite is making some decent balls these days for cheap, not sure what they are selling for though. I only use the older ones for when they are aerating the greens.

go to Dick's Sporting Goods or Golf Galaxy and get 2 dozen Srixon Trispeed tours for $35. Other places might have this deal too, I just know these two places definitely have it.

Try the Maxfli U/3. Urethane covered 3 piece ball for $25. The reviews have been mixed a bit on it, but its working very well for me.

Agree. E5 urethane is decent.

 

And speaking of ebay, tons of deals there. I just bought two dozen brand new Z-stars (white) for $51 shipped.

i will add a vote for Nike One Tours Red Box (if you can find them) and Callaway Tour IS. both are on clearance at most sites still selling them.

Golfsmith - if you buy two Tour IS dozen, you get them at $27 per, $75 for three dozen. There is not a better ball at that price range, imo (I mostly play the Tour IZ version)

Another +1 for V2 Gamers. Kind of weird to hit a Top Flite and not have that standard TF sound. Started playing them this past month on recommendations from here and can say it is the first time I managed to back a Top Flite up 6 feet.

Shot even par on the front 9 this weekend with the V2

The back 9 was not so good...but it was not the balls fault !

The only reason I ever look at other balls is to avoid saying I'm playing a "Top Flite" but the truth of the matter is the V2 is hard to beat at any price
