Some of the things I read on these posts drive me crazy. I'm new to GolfWRX, but I would hope all you naysayers don't really think they slapped some paint on a 910 and called it a day. Years of R&D, testing, math and geometry go into designing these clubs, and what you see on the outside isnt everything.

You may be new, but you catch on quick. If it's not radically different LOOKING, everyone assumes its a new paint job.

Welcome to WRX! Great post, I couldn't agree more.
I bet a bunch of the people who make those posts are looking for a reason to justify keeping their 910 and not 'upgrading' to the newer model. Unfortunately, until people get to hit the clubs, the only thing they can comment on is looks, and the 910 and 913 look rather similar.

any word on whether or not they will sell the 913 heads without shafts?

and why retool the Fairway adapter when it is the same as the driver and i would really like to slap my 8z08 into a 913 fairway and not have to deal with another adapter. I completely understand the retool of the hybrid adapter but a little confused as to why the fairway really needs to be much smaller.

There was a thread on Team Titleist about this, and Cathi replied that the 913 will not offered as 'head only'. I believe they're coming up with a program to let you switch out adapters for a small fee, which should apply to the F and H.
Not offering the head alone is a weak move, but no different to TM's strategy.

Most people are ignoring the role of the shaft supplier. Titleist may be obligated to sell shafts with all their heads lest they lose their discount from the supplier.

The shop where I bought my 910D2 "prices" the heads separate from the shaft, but you have to buy a shaft with the head. However, they are a Titleist Regional Fitting Center and they stock almost every special order shaft in the 910 lineup.

That could be the case. Mine wasn't criticism, as I don't have a 910 to 'upgrade', but it does make it more expensive for those who do.

To clarify about the shafts available, this is what Cathi on Team Titleist said

"The new shafts we will be offering are the:
+White 72, +Blue62, RIP Alpha 60, RIP Phenom 70 and the Bassara W. All shafts, except the W will be original OEM shafts.
The new plus shafts have better feel with torque to flex matching so they will have bend profiles similar to the Ahina 70 and Kai'li 60 with torque and feel more similar to the original White board and Blue board. These are new shafts that Mitsubishi has introduced on Tour earlier this summer and players such as Kyle Stanley, Bud Cauley and others have already put them in play."

How long until people start whining that their MRC +White has too high a torque rating?

I NEED A 8.5* 913D3 +White Stiff!!! These sound like they will be a step up from the 910, maybe a step like 905S to 905R?

maybe they'll get them like in October, but probably cant sell them till a specific date in November?

Thats true...prolly why theres still a new 909 driver at my proshop .lol They have a discount now, but I think it's a lil late???

I assume you mean a lot lower spin vs. 910. How about launch angle? I have a 910 D3 at 7.75* with a low launch/low spin Project X and I still hit the ball way to high with too much spin (and only about 108 SS).

I really liked the 910, but only if it launched lower and had a lot less spin. Do you think 913 will deliver this, with the same playability?
