Midwest Golf Outing

Guys, I can't recommend this enough. Frank's hospitality is reason enough to go, forget about the golf.

 

Unfortunately I can't make it this year, between getting ready for my wedding and buying a house, the resources just aren't there this year. I had a blast last year, flew out from Boston Sat morning, and depsite American's best efforts to not let me play golf Sat afternoon, Frank hooked me up with a set couple with some TEE demos. Got the clubs back later that day and played OF on Sunday, a true treat.

just to throw this out there...since some wrxers may not be able to make the outing...have an outing at the beginning and end of season...say may & september?

Guys, I'd be interested and I could bring my best friend who is from Algonquin. My wife is having our second child around May 1st so end of June is almost perfect. I'm from Springfield so a couple of hours is no big deal.

 

As far as courses go you have a nice list. Any thought to Whisper Creek in Huntley? Good track, nice facilities, accomodating staff? Around $50 a round. I'll definitely vote Weaver Ridge as it is only an hour away although it is $100+ per round.

 

Set a date and a place and I'll see if I can't add two to your outing.

It is going to be in the Chicago area, so N. Illinois, but you are welcome if you want to come out. Frank I sent you a pm, this one not talking about the outing (cool) And I will hopefully have a LD driver for the outing, so Mike and I can show you guys and let you hit them :tongue: I never thought I would have a 6* driver but hey, it should be fun. what other companies will be there Frank? I think I heard Tour Edge, and Path Pro, I can't remember. Still need a date and place, so tell us when you can't go and where you want to go

Depending on where you are, and how far you are willing to travel, maybe me and you can play a couple of rounds once it is dried out.

I do that any ways, when we had a foot and a half, I was out, boots, coat, no gloves, gloves and worn GP velvet don't mix

There is a Remax qualifier on July 21 in Alton, Il. Anyone know where that is? there is an AM and PM qualifier, and I would like to at least make one of them, if it's not too far away from where we will be at.
