The Old Course 2013

Has anyone obtained a 2013 tee time for TOC? The St Andrews Links Trust website says that all tee times between May and August 2013 have already been booked. They just opened 2013 for bookings on Sept 5. I submitted my application less than a minute after it opened up that morning, but haven't heard anything yet.

My group went over in spring of 2008 and we applied in Sept. of 2007. We received our confirmation on 11/1/07.

That's sort of a relief to hear. What dates did you request to play? I have a tee time at Muirfield on May 9 so I requested days at TOC just after that. TOC is closed the preceding week for the R&A so I am a little nervous that there is a lot of demand for the days I want to play. Where else do you plan to play? I love my itinerary, but will love it more if we get a time on TOC.

Looks like a great itinerary. We are going in late August / early September, all centered around Muirfield as well! We were hoping to get TOC between Aug 30-Sept 4th. R&A says they won't accept September applications, but am more or less being hopeful it works out.

Courses included:
TOC (Hopefully)
Castle or New, prob not both
Kingsbarns
Carnoustie
Crail (Balcomie or Hanse's new course or both still a question mark)
Muirfield
North Berwick
Gullane

Difficult part will be waiting a year for the trip to come!

How many of you are going - I got on as a 2 ball easily, and they always leave open slots for the locals to play.

You will hear in time whether you got your request or not. They will also offer options if you didn't get what you want. Idid it in 2006 and got what I wanted. I tried again this past year and did not. It's a crapshoot. You should get an email response soon

I went in 2010 and my letter from the R&A was postmarked October 13th. Got the letter right here. : ) Payment in full was due by 11-30. My guess is you will get a time no problem as that early in May shouldn't be a very heavy demand time period from travelling golfers.

Whoooo- Hooooo.... Got my Old Course tee time this morning. Now to enjoy the six months of anticipation. It's early in the morning but I'm sitting here with a dram of single malt
