RSI Corza Mid Over Length

The Postmaster brought my new toy from Tourspec this morning and it is SWEET.

I bought the heel shafted Corza Mid 39 inches (perfect belly putter for us short guys). The insert is very nice and better sounding than the AGSI. I had the old model from Japan with the AGSI, and I did not like the "tonking metal" sound it made. This sounds more like a Odyssey insert, not as soft as the XG but firmer than the white hot.

I have a small assortment of belly/long putters here I have been trying on my 12 foot putting carpet. With my back, conventional putting is out of the question.

The matte black finish makes the head seem smaller than the other Corza and far less clumsy than the 2 Ball, which in the MId and Long is a pretty big looking head.

I need the offset of the heel shafted model and this sets up really nice. I'll have to take it one/two degrees flatter, but it's a nice roller.

Oh well, I'll get some on course testing in soon...till then.....It's SWEEEET.

Please post a review whenever you can! I was actually about to pick up the AGSI belly corza at 41" in the center shafted offset model, but if the RSI version is good I might have to take a look at that.

I had the model you mentioned and sold it. The TM Corza line-up never felt right to me, they looked great but sounded to "tincup" like.

 

I am cranked up to get this putter rolling outside, it sounds near perfect to me.

Thanks Chris, it looks better in person. Great Matte finish on top, glossy on the bottom. Very neat presentation.

From what I've heard on here, people are divided on this model for some reason. It's about a 60/40 split in favor of it. Sounds Sweet. Just not a belly putter guy. :drinks:

Thats right, 39 is the max. I was going to blow the grip off and extend mine but the 39 inches fit perfectly.

 

I putted with it today and it sets up so nice. The roll on the ball is tremendous, seems to have zero hop.

I'm curious about the lengths these are offered in (37-39).

 

Are these designed to be used as belly putters or for a more conventional non-anchored stroke?

 

I've heard some Japanese pros were using "overlength" putters but not anchoring them.

Well I think you can use it either way. I had the first chance to roll it on a real green today (just came back) and I am very impressed.

 

I am 5'6 so at 39 inches I can stand very erect and use it non-anchored or bend just slightly over and use it belly style.

 

Using it belly style was perfect for me. It sets up very easily and is so easy to square to the line I intend. I did not find myself fighting with it over whether or not the head was square to the intended line.

 

The roll was fantastic and very pure, little or no hop.

 

One tip I picked up from earlier belly/mid threads was the one with the video clip of Bobby Grace on using a belly putter. Holding the handle to the left of your belly button, closer to the hole really...and I mean really makes a difference in how you release the head.

 

In the past with Belly Putters a long putt was a struggle to get enough on it. This is not the case with this putter and setting the shaft a little more forward.

 

Belly putters are deadly inside of 10-15 feet, this one was all of that and more.

 

I am extremely cranked up to get this putter in play next season. The matte black top, and flat/square grip on the top are perfect of cross handed style. This thing is just eye candy on the ground.
