looking for golf retirement community s/w

just starting to look for a place to retire that has several courses that we can drive our cart to,.im guessing mid price range. getting very tired of cold weather. thx

[/quote] dont know. im at a club in ks. now that has 36 holes and drive my cart to the course. just wondering if there are any retirement communitys or areas that had several courses i can drive my cart to, go grocery shopping and come home without using my car. i know the villages in fla. market this but i like az. better.

I think sun city is gonna be pretty much the only community offering multiple courses and shopping that can be reached via golf cart.

Anyone else care to chime in? I'm only 30 so I'm not sure about retirement golf communities lol

Im in Tubac, we have 3 nines and you can drive your cart into town. I assure you though Tubac is not The Villages, its a small community. I love it but small.

[/quote]love tubac played there couple of times, great shopping for visitors. i hear green vally has several courses, do you pay one membership for all? ive played several of the top courses in tucson but dont really think i can afford to join those. what about just a good mid level 36 hole community, any of those. thats what i live in now in ks. thx.

memebrship is $305 a month that includes driving range, and its the best conditioned course south of Tucson. Great place to live as its only 40 minutes to airport and about 20-25 to the border. if you want more deatils let me know. Where do you live in KS my sister is in O.P.

Tubac is one of my favorite places to go on a golf trip.....love the place! I've heard recently that Green Valley is nowhere near what it used to be as far as the quality of the golf courses go....any truth to that? My favorite restaurant......Rex Ranch!!! Is it still there?

[/quote]wichita, so of o. p. 2 1/2 hrs, very reasonable price. i was thinking a mid level course with 27 or 36 would be twice that. wife is16hcp im 8 would like to live little further north any ideas for us to check out thx.

I would suggest you spend a little time in both Tubac and Green valley is the next "town" up you may want to look at Quail Creek in Green Valley. PM me for more info

Try Pebble Creek in the west valley (Goodyear), 2 courses with clubhouses and recreation area, not sure about shopping
